At first I had a favorable take on this PC. It’s good enough for office work. But it should not be allowed to be marketed on here as a gaming PC. They mounted a graphics card on an external bracket with some fancy metal work to the original case to feed wires/PCI thru, added some funky lighting to it, then had the balls to call it a gaming computer. In my opinion this is a predatory scam targeting people like me that didn’t know much about computers before buying it. I have learned a lot since buying this 2015 PC after it crashed while playing a game released in 2009 (left 4 dead 2). The PSU (Power Supply Unit) for running the RTX 3060 graphics card in this thing needs to be a minimum of 500 watts according to a simple google search. The PSU in this brick is 180 watts. You can’t upgrade the power supply with the original case because there is not enough room for a bigger PSU, and you can’t move to a bigger case (at least not easily) because the ATX motherboard in the optiplex 7040 is proprietary and won’t mount properly to an aftermarket case. I sent this litter-box back for a refund. If you want a gaming PC do what I should have done in the first place and build your own. Newegg has some nice pre-builds if you want to go that route but don't be intimidated about building one yourself. I bought the one with a 32 inch curved monitor and it came with everything listed except the monitor. I sent a message thru to the seller. I guess I have to wait 2 days to get an answer. Then hope they will promptly send out my monitor. I will update once I have something to update. (Update: I received the monitor a couple days later) I was hoping to be doing a review on the computer itself but I guess that’ll have to wait too. (Update: The tower is much heavier than I thought it was guna be.. lol.. I’ve never bought a computer where you can see inside and upon receiving the monitor I pulled the tower out of the box and I noticed the fan is just loose inside of it. Not connected to anything. Obviously not turning on when it’s running. I have no idea what to do or if I should just return it. ) I will update my rating once I have actually talked to someone and resolved the issues.
