I came to my sons house for the summer. His wife had one 3 year old at the time and was pregnant while going to college and working full time as a correctional officer. Her computer was dinosaur slow. I just could not stand by and watch her struggle to manage her busy life and wait for a computer to take 5 minutes to load a page. First, I was very concerned about any computer that costs less than 200. A Dell pc of this quality is worth about twelve hundred. I purchased a 10 dollar wifi card and set the pc up. I could not believe my eyes or luck at the absolute quality of this computer it looks and acts brand new. I am impressed and was driven to tears at the time this computer is saving her. It moves like a hot knife through butter and her school work is done 5 times faster. She is now the proud mom of her 3 year old son and a brand new baby girl and she is holding it together like a pro and keeping up with school work. I am so glad to have had a small hand in making her life easier and I thank the seller for this product knowing it was Amazon certified refurbished made me purchase it and the Amazon customer guarantee made is easy to purchase. Was very excited to receive computer as it is needed for my children for school. Arrived on time as stated. Upon taking pieces from the package my first notice was the DVD component was semi disconnected and pushed into the tower. Multiple scratches and evidence of wear and tear. As I do understand it was refurbished but very evident of it being used. After plugging all cords and pieces in the tower came on and shut off. The monitor display showed no signal. Me assuming an error on my part I flick the switch to the already on power cord I had. That wasn't the problem nothing came on. I then switched the cords from the monitor to the tower and the tower to the monitor. The tower again came on and shut off. During the moment of sitting and requesting a refund the tower again booted itself on and shut back of immediately. It never stayed on long enough to be seen on the monitor. I am very disappointed as school starts soon and now I have to find another computer. I guess this is what I get for thinking I can get something decent for a lower price. ... show more

I purchased this computer refurbished from the seller Linked-PC INC. Straight out of the box this computer was easy to set up with some very minor and self-explanatory assembly required on the monitor... This is my first desktop computer, having come from a generation mostly dominated by laptops, but found that this system was easy to set up, plug in, etc. Again, very self-explanatory... There was some minor damage on the back of the housing on the computer tower, but as it does not affect the computer's functionality or appearance (as it is located on the back) I am not too bothered with it. I got what I paid for; A used, somewhat battered, refurbished PC... There were other signs of reasonable wear and tear on the computer, further indicating to me that it was indeed used and refurbished... None of these reasons are the reason for my one deducted star. I chose to deduct one star because the keyboard is frustratingly dirty. Several of the keys seem to stick a bit as if it is dirty and was not cleaned properly... I'll clean it up of course, it's not a huge enough issue to contact the seller and whine about it, but I do feel that it's a flaw on their customer service abilities. It would have been nice to receive a computer that was at least free of other people's dirt. I have my own dirt to clean, I don't really appreciate being given more... Just a principle thing, I suppose... Aside from that, it started up beautifully, quickly set up the OS and allowed me to name and personalize the computer and OS in a way I've never seen on a refurbished computer... I do recommend buying from this or other sellers who are certified Microsoft refurbishes because they guarantee an authentic operating system without any crap and bloatware to bog down your system, which I have experienced and been frustrated by with other sellers of other computers... Regardless of the few little flaws, I would recommend this computer to a prospective buyer. For the price I don't think it can be beat... Happy shopping. ... show more

Needed to replace a nearly 15 year old Windows XP desktop with something a little newer. Couldn't afford a brand new one, so I opted for a refurbished one. I've had this desktop for several months now, and so far, I have been pleased with my purchase. The price I paid for it was reasonable, and for a refurb, it was in pretty good condition when it arrived. I like the size of the flat screen monitor that it came with, and that it was a Dell monitor! The CPU is smaller than my old one, so it doesn't take up as much space, and it has more USB plug-in's than my old one did. Also liked that it came with software already loaded, so I can use it right away. The instructions that came with it were very easy to understand and follow; I had it set up and running in less than an hour. The keyboard and mouse that came with it are OK, but I will probably replace both with cordless ones. Also will get a Windows 10 for Dummies book so I can learn more about what I can do with it. Overall, I am happy with my purchase from JSM Computers, and if I decide to replace my Windows 7 laptop, I'll check them out again. ... show more

    • im not really shore about the screen connect it popped in by itself
the screen connect went in to the computer by itself and im still wondering how when the computer wasnt in no tight spot it wasnt nothing around it just nothing on the floor with the screen next to it on a box and nothing there i didnt get a chance to set the computer up it still hasnt been programmed yet i just got it there for right now and it took me this long to get ahold of you because my phones dont let me get or receive calls or text or emails they just let me buy thing on the websites and nothing else and they are on a automated payment plan and when i do get ahold of them they tell me they cant do anything because it said nothings wrong with my phone and its working perfect and its not ... show more
