    • just what i wanted, powerful and compact
first off let me say that im seeing a lot of conflicting reviews on here. some say its way too small and other say its too big while others say they did not get the same case that is in the picture. i received the same pc that is in the picture. as far as the size it is very small but that is just what i wanted because it was for my mother and space is an issue. the computer is 11 1/2 inch tall, 12 inches long and a little under 4 inches wide. its a powerful little pc with a true 4 core i5 cpu not the 2 core 4 thread version. 8 gig of ram in the form of 4, 2gb ram sticks. the pc worked right out of the box, i didnt need to setup anything it just booted to the desktop. it came with the 2tb hard drive and takes about 35 seconds to boot to desktop. since my mother has no need for 2tb of space i took out the drive and put it in my kids gaming pc for extra space and replaced it with a $20, 128 gb solid state drive. it now boots in 14 seconds. the only issue i have and its not a problem really is the mouse they sent me with it was broke with a huge crack on the bottom of it. its a cheap $3-$5 mouse anyways and i have plenty of extras here so like i said not a big deal but would be nice if they did a quick visual inspection before sending it out. i give it real rating of 4.5 stars with the half a star missing due to broken mouse. ... show more

The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is that the packing could have been a bit better. It was supported and cushioned at the corners of the box, but not the sides. In reality that's a small concern. Consider this more a 4.5 star review. Normally I don't write reviews, but this earned one. Out of the box, other than a few very (and I mean very) minor scuffs on the top of the case, you'd think this was fresh out of the factory. Insides were clean as well, like brand new clean. Booted up, checked all the hardware, and stuff looked good Crystal Disk test on the 2TB drive showed it only had 7 hours of power on time. Everything ran fine. I've since tossed in an SSD this thing runs rather well for an almost 6 year old PC. Boots to Windows in about 30 seconds, and runs most games I've thrown at it (Minecraft, Half Life 2, Civilization V, FS9 and even FS:X). I wouldn't try anything brand new, but if you're an old game aficionado, this could be a good budget machine. Future upgrades include a half height video card, maybe a PCIe card to mount my SSD to, but for right now this is an amazing machine for the price. ... show more

    • Runs for first year then breaks down randomly and runs choppy
computer was great at first especially the price tag. we took a risk and bought it october of 2018. we were happy until about a month ago when the computer started to randomly break down in the middle of a task. screen just goes black but the computer is still powered on. no blue screen of death, just a black screen. we have to power the computer off then on. also running slowly/choppy lately. don't recommend. update: I reset the computer within windows 10, seems to be running fine now, no issues yet ... show more

This cpu is HUGE. It seems about twice as big as the image provided, and is not really set up in the same configuration as shown. There is no wifi on it (I just double checked, the information provided is all mushed together in a giant paragraph so where I thought it said it had wifi it was saying it didn't. My bad for not reading it correctly, but I happened to have a wifi adapter and it was ready to go moments after plugging it in). It makes some weird chunking sounds while thinking, but otherwise having just taken it out and started working with it 3 hours ago, I don't have many complaints, other than how huge it is. It was the small form factor which was not advertised. Kind of disappointing. However, I received the computer and put everything in a $30 case I also got off amazon, which is the rose will line-m case. Threw a gtx 1050ti in it. And have a great budget gaming pc for only about $300 in total. Computer works great, activated windows with no issues. Everything is perfect. Great price for a great PC. Was nervous as I read all the bad reviews after I had already purchased. Maybe I was lucky or maybe people were over exaggerating. But my experience has been quite nice.     • Good machine / good customer service!
This is an upgrade .... BIG UPGRADE ... from my Toshiba laptop. (That I'm really HAPPY with this *Refurbished* machine compared to what I had been using should be saying something!) Anyway though, when I got the thing it didn't have Bluetooth or WI/FI... Drat!! I contacted the company, (Which I don't like doing because I'm sure I'm gonna get a run around...) However, low and behold! The company sent out a plug in unit that had WI/FI *AND* Bluetooth! in a day or so!! It works really well! I do have some compatibility issues with Elite Dangerous, but Diablo III works very well! Also does you tube, Netflix and even porn.....er...uh.....I mean EDUCATIONAL web sites very well!
