  • Great replacement home computer
I like this replacement home computer. No compatibility issues with the software I had installed on my old Windows 10 machine. Everything works in Windows 11. This machine did NOT have a DVD-RW drive. I purchased a compatible internal drive directly from Dell for less than $30 and installed it myself. (I know that's probably an "old school" move, but I still wanted the ability to create DVDs and CDs.) I am very pleased with this machine. It was a great for the price. ... show more

  • windows 10 replacement at the right price
This computer fit my needs perfectly. Needing an additional windows 11 computer, this unit fits the bill. Fast and easy setup with plenty of storage. I bought this as a replacement for my windows 10 computer.

  • If it looks too good to be true…
I build my own computers and repair those of friends and family and have been doing so for more than 25 years. This PC’s specs looked great for the price, so I bought it for my wife. She only uses a PC for web browsing and to back up her iPhone, and this was much cheaper than I could build for her. The only thing I didn’t care for was the DisplayPort monitor connection with no HDMI. I bought an adapter to convert her HDMI-cabled monitor to DP, and it worked perfectly. The PC started as expected, and I quickly moved through the Windows 11 Pro setup. A few minutes after that, I had copied over all of her data and began installing all the programs she uses. After a couple of hours, I had the computer fully set up. We were both thrilled. But… About two weeks after installation, and probably only the third time she used the computer, it crashed with a BSOD. It wasn’t doing any heavy processing, and in fact the only thing open was her browser. I tried every option to recover her system, and each time I got the same error “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE”. I hoped that the M.2 SSD was just not seated correctly, although I knew this was a very slim possibility. After putting on my grounding strap to discharge myself, I carefully removed, inspected, and replaced the SSD. No change. I subsequently installed the drive in an external enclosure, because all of my personal and financial information was now somewhere on that drive and needed to be erased. Before I formatted and erased the drive, I found that the main partition of the drive had become corrupted, and that partition had reverted to the RAW file system, which is to say, no readable file system. Oddly enough, the other two partitions on the drive were intact and readable by Windows. The EFI System Partition (ESP) is a small partition that’s used to boot the operating system, and the Recovery Partition contains tools and files used to restore the system. None of these tools could restore the main partition, though, because the main partition containing Windows 11 was completely corrupted. Bottom line-- I and many others wasted a lot of time researching, buying, and setting up this incredibly low-priced PC. Since this same thing has happened to so many other buyers, I believe these 1 TB M.2 SSDs are just defective and prone to very early failure. If I had known this ahead of time, I might have just cloned everything onto a new $50 M.2 SSD, and it still would have been a good deal. But after losing Windows 11, I wasn’t prepared to spend another $200 for that, as well as a new $50 drive to put it on, so it was returned. Buyer beware… if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I hope this helps! ... show more

  • Good value for workhorse PC for general use. Not always quiet
This is an adequate PC and I am generally satisfied with the performance. The PC was very clean inside and out and included Core i7 8700, WIN 11 Pro , 32GB RAM and built in WiFI as as described . The CPU cooler fan does get somewhat loud periodically; Replacing the thermal paste (CPU to Heatsink ) did not help that symptom. I do like the compact size of the SFF Desktop. the motherboard does have ports, connections for some limited accessories,. ( but only a single FAN header for CPU cooler fan.) I contacted seller pre-purchase to confirm actual PC specifications, features expected . This model does have various original configurations( ex. HDMI .vs. DP or DVD/ROM, etc.). Description stipulated "NEW" 1TB NMVE M.2 SSD. The M.2 drive in my PC has over 7600 hours , the seller did provide partial refund for that issue. To be safe, I immediately replaced that used NVMe M2. SSD with New NMVw M.2 SSD with the O/S cloned. I did receive the model with the CD-ROM as pictured but it did NOT include the internal SSD caddy. Seller did mail to me that useful part when contacted. ... show more

  • No optical drive
In spite of the model having the letters "Opti" in the name, there is no optical drive. The product description does not say it does, but when you look up the Dell model on the web, that's what it says. Fortunately, the cables are still there and you can get one from Dell for $35. It is a solid computer and easy to access the inside to update components (in my case, an optical drive and a HDD}. Definitely a good value for the money. Update: I installed the optical drive and a HDD without using any tools! ... show more

  • FAST - Start up and retrieval of data!
With 32GB DDR4 Ram and a New 1TB hard drive combined with Built-in WiFi & Bluetooth and coupled with Windows 11 Pro this was a no brainer to replace my older PC with a hard drive. No more waiting for the drive to spin up and no more fragmented hard drive. The 1 TB of Solid State memory is fast. The keyboard is small -- could stand to be larger, but apart from that I'm happy with the PC, I've been using it for 8 months now and am very happy with it. ... show more
