The battery in my Surface Pro 3 was dying. I looked at a new Surface Pro but I am unhappy with their reliability, exorbitant repair costs (especially for a battery) and fragility. Repeat those cons for Apple Mac books. I wanted a beast laptop in terms of build quality, reliability, power and pricing. Dell Rugged and Panasonic Tough Book were my two finalists. After weeks of research, the Dell Rugged stood out for its better price, durability and hardware profile. Renewed condition is a HUGE money saver! Amazon got me started in my search and that is where I found Plaza Laptops. I saw that Plaza had an eBay presence as well and I checked that out. The Dell Rugged product selection and data specs were much more informative on eBay from Plaza. I knew what I wanted in my machine and Plaza was kind enough to tweak some upgrades and add-ons to suit me. The actual Dell Rugged I bought is a beast. I appreciate the carry handle, $99 replacement batteries that can be removed and replaced in 10 seconds, the robust hardware (2TB/64GB), facial ID, fingerprint ID, Bluetooth 5.1, Windows 11 pro, and a 2-year Dell Pro warranty plus a 1-year Asurion warranty from eBay. This renewed laptop comes directly from Dell which means it's renewed to factory specs. The new Dell Rugged I own is extraordinarily fast, looked absolutely brand new on arrival, was packed very well for shipping, is heavier than a standard laptop but I don't care because it's MUCH easier to hold securely with the built-in handle. The Plaza folks are top rate as is the Dell Rugged. If you are sick of $2000 flimsy laptops with ridiculous repair prices, think about Dell Rugged from Plaza Laptops on Amazon or eBay.
