It took (still working on it) weeks to address so I had to get a backup. I didn't want to spend alot so I took a gamble on a refurb. It honestly looked brand new inside and out. I wouldn't have known it was a refurb. Came with Win10, I upgraded to 11 with no issues. I needed a laptop with some horsepower but didnt need the bells and whistles for a backup, til I get my main squeeze back. Well this PC answered the bell. I purchased this computer September 29, 2023 and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I purchased a computer to do a part-time work from home job and I was able to make the money back. I used to buy the computer with less than two weeks, I’ve had no issues with the computer. The computer starts fast and I’ve had no problems with any updates to the computer. I haven't bought a laptop since freshman year of college, so I was a bit out of touch. This is a powerful little laptop that's great for everyday use and multitasking, and even some gaming! I was surprised how well it works with Xbox cloud gaming, but that's entirely up to your Internet connection. It can handle some downloaded games, but with the integrated graphics I wouldn't push it too much. For example you can push it to 720p for windwaker on dolphin and that's about it. The whole thing is snappy and easy to use with Windows 11. If you want a gaming laptop, I'd probably get one with a better graphics card, but I wasn't exactly planning to use it for that specially. As a school or work from home laptop this is ideal. I kind of forget this has a touch screen, I never use it, as the keyboard position is fixed so it just doesn't feel right, but it does work and is rather responsive. The speakers are on, I'd never listen to music solely on them, but for random YouTube or a TV show where the sound isn't all that important it does the job. My only complaints are that my power adapter started buzzing so I needed to replace that, and I was having an issue with the fan turning off but I resolved that with googling. Also the battery life is not great really at all. With power save everything on, I get about 2 hours, so I just plug it in while using. ... show more

I am extremely disappointed with this laptop. Despite what is shown in the picture, the product does not include a fingerprint reader. In addition, the battery lasts much less than promised, barely 2 hours. The computer heats up easily and the performance is average to poor. I am surprised that a refurbished product has such poor quality, considering that these are products that are supposed to be tested before being sold. ... show more

Upgraded my ancient 16 year old Inspiron E1705 finally so differences were night and day. Really just need something for the occasional usage when i go on trips or im tuning my vehicles. cant really compare to other laptops since my old ones are soooo old. but it is very lightweight yet still feels pretty durable. I really hate windows 10, i want to roll it back to windows 7. but it does work fine and i have no real complaints. it does feel slower to boot than it should, not sure why because i even upgraded the ssd for more speed the stock SSD worked fine but was kinda slow. ATTO Disk Benchmark showed read/write speeds around 500mb. So i upgraded it with a new SSD (Western Digital 2280 Gen4 PCIe 500gb) and now its blazing fast. read/write speeds are now 3gb so 6x faster than stock. for my uses the battery life is fine, 2-3 hours maybe. more if screen brightness is turned down. i would just keep it plugged in when needed anyways ... show more

I was looking for a simple laptop for work and this one fit the bill. Mine has a scratch on the left side, but I don't care. The rest of the laptop looks perfect and the keys work well. I do not know if they have all the same functions, but mine has a backlit keyboard, USB-C Thunderbolt, and your regular run-of-the-mill items that come standard on all laptops. The first two were important to me. The monitor was in great condition and even though it came in a non-specific box, the laptop came with a battery and power plug. Out of the box, it came right on with a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro. After updating it, it asked if I wanted to upgrade to Windows 11 for free. I did and the laptop runs it just fine. Complex video or audio processing takes a little more time, but it can do it and if this laptop is your standby computer like it is mine, then it should be fine. For $370, this renewed laptop is at a great price point, especially since I use this to break free from the office every so often. ... show more

I am writing review after 3 months of usage. It's fine, but when screen is dark there is a line visible. Also, the Mouse pad left click is not working. When I asked for replacement in March it's not replaced yet. Even after 1 month the replacement product still on the way.
