    • You’re not going to find better for the price.
This laptop is AMAZING for the price! I compared the “specs” to a new one, not a Dell, or even a big brand, and the least expensive one I came across that matched it was >$1000. So for a refurbished computer brought up to near new with the specs this has AND a robust frame? Just buy it, it’s worth it! There are some reviews commenting about it not having the “pro” version of windows. Mine did, so I can’t complain about that or even address it. I wonder if something is off in the “Windows Update” software that’s keeping these from updating correctly? Just a thought. Right after I got it, I went through and shut down all the “bloatware” that windows loves to hide in there, and once I did that, let it update itself, downloaded some basic software, this thing is SMOOTH! Im sure there are YouTube tutorials out there to help you do this, or you could use an AI assistant to walk you through it some of the most important things to shut off are DEEP in there. I know these are refurbished, so there are going to be some little things here and there that are not strictly speaking “perfect” but if you want that level of newness, then buy new. The only drawback on mine I’ve found is that the battery is a little bit short lived. Its not the fault of the seller, its not “bad”, it’s not a “bad battery” it just only gives about 2-3 hours of usage before it’s at less than 10%. I’ve done some research and I think this is about standard for this “age” and model of machine even with a new battery so I’m not really too fussed about it, I don’t use it without being near a power source so, no big thing, maybe down the line if I find it bothersome I’ll look into upgrading the battery, but like I said that’s MINOR relative to what you get with this computer. I’m seriously thinking about buying a second one just to have on a shelf as a backup! I’m saving this seller, and I’m certain that I’ll be buying another one. The weight of this thing is possibly heavy for its size, but again like I’ve said I think this is a corporate lease return, and these are built heavy, to be USED, not with the typical “light weight” components. All of that said it’s sub 5lbs, and fits beautifully into my Mous backpack, that I use for my traveling back and forth internationally , and it’s perfect. Mine was an i7 processor, with 32gb ram, and. 1Tb drive, so speed is not an issue. I don’t “game” with it, but I would imagine I could, I don’t think it would run brand new high spec games, but I’m fairly confident that it would not disappoint as long as your expectations are realistic for an older computer, with high end components. I suspect the screen would be the weak spot for serious gaming, but then again, at this price… Over all this is an OUTSTANDING value on an INCREDIBLE machine!     • DON'T come with Windows 10, only Windows 11!
FYI when buying these, they are EXCELLENT machines that I have bought about 20 of over the last year or so - in the past they came with Windows 10 Pro, but the last half dozen over the previous 6 months or so are ALL Windows 11 Pro, and when I've inquired was told that Microsoft doesn't want them with Windows 10. I just install Windows 10 when I get them, but beware to shut off Bit Locker, or you will end up with a brick! Other than that one problem, the machines are in my opinion the best price for a powerful laptop that should last you a LONG time. ... show more

    • Wow! If only I could go back in time. I would not buy from these guys
I knew the Dell 7490 was the right computer for me, but I really needed the 2TB drive, and the cost of new AND the 2TB drive seemed like the wrong way to go. So I buy here. I planned to upgrade the 1TB drive myself as soon as I get it. However, it arrived with a WIN 10 installation that had a serious flaw. I spent literally about 10 hours, over 7 different phone calls/chats with various Microsoft support teams and none could fix it. I would not install any updates and could not update to Win 11. I finally messaged the seller. No response. Then I emailed no response. I finally had to take it to a local pc shop. They charged me $350 to fix it. I upgraded the HD. The I also noticed that the battery is shot. No 5 hour life here, lasts about 45 min. The charger came with some white paint smeared on it. Seems like it would have been pretty damn cheap to give me a new AC adapter. The lid has some scratches where its been abused. After I replace the battery I will now be into this for $300 or more than if I had just bought the laptop new from Dell. Won't make this mistake again. Eventually I got a response from the seller. Its printed below. Make up your own mind. "David, I am truly sincerely sorry for this. This is actually a very common Microsoft issue we have been seeing. Microsoft issued an update that is conflicting with other components of the software and has been causing this issue lately. We have managed to resolve this issue only a few weeks ago and we have helped all our customers to make sure they are up and running properly at no cost. I wish you had called us and we would have helped. And I wish we were able to respond immediately (which is 99% of the time the case) so you would not have to spend any additional money. We would have also installed Win 11 free of charge as well. I am not sure how to apologize. I truly do feel bad that we failed a customer even if it is completely Microsoft related and has nothing to do with the hardware. I am also upset that you had to spend $350 out of your pocket. That is an insane amount of charge to be honest. If you need anything in the future, please feel free to reach out to us and I will make sure to personally attend to this matter as one of the managers here at Olive. Sincere apologies.     • Excellent Laptop
Received the laptop today and was in excellent shape and looked new. I ordered the Dell because it was supposedly come with windows 10Pro installed and when I received it after setup it did not have Windows 10Pro instead it had Windows 11 Pro, plus the fingerprint sensor did not worked. So I am returning it. Nothing wrong with the laptop it functioned ok while initial setup, the only thing the fingerprint did not work and I didn’t know if it was supposed to work or not. ... show more
