I found this Windows 10 Dell Latitude 5580 HD 15.6 Inch Business Laptop Notebook PC refurbished by "tekrefurbish" for $188 on Amazon and ordered it. When I unpacked it, it was very clean -- looked new -- and, important because I am not good with modern technology, was extremely easy to set up. So it is delightful to have what seems to me like a new computer that does all I need (I'm not into gaming!) easily and quickly, and onto which it was easy to transfer all that I needed from the old one. Knock on wood, so far it hasn't been too bad. It works ok, just has two big flaws that I'm going to try and get fixed locally. First and most irritating is that the right speaker is blown. It rattles so badly that you can't make out what is being said or played. I'm hoping it can be replaced. Second issue is that many things in my house are bluetooth, and it doesn't recognize ANY of them. I was going to try and override the speakers and run it through my bluetooth speakers..... nope. So tried to use the TV.... nope. It won't even acknowledge that I have any bluetooth in my house. I can't stand the rattle. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Won't see my bluetooth printer either. That sucks for the whole reason I need a laptop. I'm a writer and need to be able to make hard copies of what I write. I will hope that these things can be fixed, cause everything else seems ok. ... show more

My new to me Dell Latitude was. shipped promptly came packaged properly and ready to power up. Got a great deal and it has a one year guarantee. It works flawlessly with a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. I hate Windows 11. So I am happy. I got a top of the line laptop in pristine condition for low money. So consider buying a refurbished machine from Amazon. Good for the environment also ... show more

Beware that there is variation in what you will receive. Having said that, the unit I received at the FHD screen, which is nice and bright even outdoors and readable over wide viewing angles. My friend did not get such a great screen, but he got a lighted keypad and a fingerprint reader. The battery in mine has a marginal life of two to three hours, while his has an excellent life of at least 7-8 hours. Both machines are quite fast. ... show more

Some odd things, the computer was named as if it was a tower, not a laptop, I'm doubtful the refurbishing tech did a good job, looked like it was rushed, a lot of junk files left on it. The strangest thing is, each of the Dell power supplies that have been plugged into this laptop now no longer work and they were being used and working before I plugged this laptop into them. I'm afraid to try any more fearing they will all be ruined. I have bought Dell computers for my last 6 computers. I retired from being tech support/trainer 12 years ago so I'm somewhat knowledgeable, though now way behind times. ... show more

Computer arrived in a timely manner. Started up and was easy to set up and get to work. The unit was in like new condition and was clean. Buyers should be aware though that this computer will not work with Windows 11 and the Win 10 pro will not be supported after Oct.14, 2025!
