Definitely not a high end machine, but everything has been working great so far. Zoom meetings, streaming movies, and school work. It has handled it all with ease. Speakers are sufficient for our uses. Touch screen had been a nice feature for some using the machine. I think the only negative is that it notifies you that this device will no longer receive chrome updates due to it's age. If you need a dirt cheap little internet browsing machine this is the ticket. That being said, it is priced according to its old age and lagging performance. Do not expect blazing page loads, or running many tabs. You get what you pay for. Small, lightweight, and easy to transport. Unfortunately, this Chromebook has never worked correctly. I did not realize it because now 8 months since I bought it, I've had a very traumatic life event and wasn't able to return it within the window of return back in May 2024. Still, I had no choice but to try to make it work, but it did not work correctly no matter what troubleshooting I'd been attempting. I bought this for my grandson's birthday. He wanted a computer and this is an inexpensive way to give him what he wants. It has a Celeron Processor which is a good, solid, little CPU, perfect for homework and basic computing, but not for gaming, (A good thing!). It also comes loaded with Windows 10 which is a robust, trouble free program that can run just about any software he needs. I gave a similar unit to his brother last Christmas and he loves it. Almost a year along it is still hanging in there, and he is an active kid. Definitely a good, low cost way to get a kid a laptop they can get good use out of. Only thing: it does not come with a mouse. Since they are inexpensive that is no biggie, but a mouse is much preferred to the touchpad, and is recommended. Just plug it in and go! It also has one downer; the disc is small. Since outboard discs are also very cheap this is also not a big deal these days. Just remember that if your user wants to do photo or video, which can fill a hard drive quickly, that this one has a low storage capacity. If you give it as a student computer that only requires texts, etc. for homework, it is probably big enough. With thumb drives costing as little as they do, such issues don't mean much these days if a bigger project comes up. ... show more

Update: a month in and it no longer charges... Returned for a refund at exactly 90 days! That was so close! Original post (written by child I bought it for) "Let me start by saying that I got a different chromebook than I wanted. Its totally fine though and I got this about 1 month ago. My wife's Chromebook recently died. Looking at the cost of a replacement battery, it was cheaper to buy this Chromebook - with exactly the same specs as her old Chromebook - than just a new battery. I needed a computer to work on in between jobs. I believe this was a used Chromebook from a school vendor because it is still numbered on the top of the Chromebook. Easy to use and works well for what I need but it DOES not work unless it is actively plugged into an outlet. This is why I am giving 3 stars. I have tried buying a different charger but it’s definitely some sort of battery issue and the computer came to me that way.
