Got this to use in our main bathroom that for some reason never had an exhaust fan installed. It's been ungodly humid here in the NE this summer, and when adding in showers to that it made the bathroom and bedroom swampy. Larger dehumidifiers are in use in our finished basement and main upstairs, but we needed something smaller and better sized for a bedroom. Operation is pretty basic and easy. On/off, nightlight or no nightlight, timer or no timer, and high or low. Even on the high setting this dehumidifier isn't loud. The colored light option is nice if using this at nighttime. It's not super bright and is about the level of a little four watt nightlight bulb. You can't run the light option independent of the dehumidify function which is a bit of a bummer. The timer option will run the unit for two, four, six, or eight hours and then manually shut off. It also shuts off once the water receptacle fills up. That clear plastic container easily pulls out for dumping and has a removable top for ease of cleaning. The top piece has to be correctly seated in order for the water bin to slide back in place. Since it's lightweight and has a small footprint, there isn't any trouble moving it from place to place. I docked a star due to the price because $110 (without the current $40 coupon) is too much for this little dehumidifier. I don't know how long the coupon is going to be available, but $70 is a much better price and is more in line with other units of this size and available functions.

I’ve been having issues with my upstairs being super humid. I’ve tried everything short of getting a larger dehumidifier because we have limited space, but I finally caved and decided to get one. I’m so glad I did because within 24 hours, my upstairs is finally below 60% for the first time in forever. I keep it in the hallway at the top of my stairwell, and it works well there despite it being a more open space. It was working well enough in the first day that I was able to change it from high to low. You can see in one of my photos how much water it accumulated just within a little over a day. I’d say the only downsides are it’s a little loud, and I wish you could keep it at a single light color. As it is, the light functions either on a rainbow cycle or can be turned off entirely. But honestly those are negligible downsides for how big of a difference it’s made. Overall, I’m really happy with it!

We live in the very wet pacific NW so in the winter time we deal with a lot of moisture that condenses on our windows. A few years ago we bought a large dehumidifier and love it. No more mold in our windows and for some strange reason pulling the moisture out of the air makes our house smell better. We wanted something a little smaller that would fit on a shelf and this one is great. I like that it has the intake on the sides and it is nice and compact but has a large water tank capacity. Digital readout easy to read and this unit is easy to set. I like that you can control the color of the light. It works great although our humidity level isn't very high in the summer so this winter we will really put it to the test. Thus far, seems like a very nice unit.

In my office I had this running for 2 weeks and i had barely 1/2 in of water in the catch. I live in North Texas and we have had rainstorms during that timeframe so interior moisture of the house hovered aroudn 60% and temp was typically 75 F. Their claims were assuming 80% humidity at 86%. So this will work really well in a closet that might get musty or in your garage to keep things a little drier.

This dehumidifier does work well but it needs time. It lowered the humidity in my home from 68% to 63% humidity in 3 hours. I than decided to give it some help running my air conditioner with it. I lowered the humidity to 57% than turned off the AC. The dehumidifier alone was able to maintain that level of humidity for several hours. The humidity outside at the time was near 90%. IMO this did an amazing job for its size. This dehumidifier is rated at 75 watts. My watt meter shows it peak usage at 72 watts as I turn the unit on than lowers around 61 watts. Turning the light on or off had no visual impact on the power usage. Changing fan speed to low did show a slight drop to 58 watts. Power usage could vary slightly from 1 unit to the next. This unit is much quieter than my 12,000 BTU’s AC and uses much less electricity. I plan to use both AC and dehumidifier together at first. After the humidity is comfortable in my home the AC goes off that the dehumidifier will be used to maintain comfort. They make a great team in my home.

This dehumidifier is quiet and doesn’t put out a lot of heat. It also doesn’t pull out what I would consider a lot of water quickly. That being said, the quietness and the nightlight makes it a good choice for a bedroom or small space. Update: It will work perfectly for the boat. It works without the catch bucket and it can drip onto the base and run off. My shower sump will take the condensate and send it over the side.

I am doing all I can to combat the overwhelming heat this year and my HVAC company has advised that dehumidifiers will be very helpful ,I have outfitted the majority of the lower portion of my home with them and this unit is for the hallway leading to the three bedrooms in the 2nd floor of my house ,this unit was plugged in just 3 hrs ago and has seemed to alreay accumulate about a half inch of water ,of course the AC is on high it is literally 94 degrees outside today ,the unit is very quiet and this is important because its outside of my kids bedrooms ,the really cool looking ambient lighting can easily be turned off if desired ,this is working very well for me
