put it on and waited a few hours. no water collected. Then i read instructions and it says it will only run fan and not dehumidify unless humidity is over 55%. Pretty useless for my bathroom

This unit compared to the other I bought for $7 LESS, is inferior. The one highly annoying, virtually unacceptable fact, not advertised in any of the description material is, the unit ONLY STARTS REMOVING HUMIDITY at 50% humidity! It has an auto cutoff at 40%. I don't want that! I don't want the machine deciding when the humidity is low enough. I wanted a DEHUMIDIFIER to work when I pull it in. It came out of the box saying 41% and guess what? It won't turn on until the humidity goes UP to 50%. I bought this unit to assist my AC. Heck, it doesn't even work as needed out of the box! The ONLY feature I like about this TOY is the hose. I can leave it next to the sink and HAHA, LOL, never have to empty it! It will never need emptying anyway! I bought a much better one than this at the same time to test them. This one is horrible. The other one, without this serious limitation, is working fine.

Highly recommend if you have humidity in your house. Don’t go for a little one just got ahead and get this one. I can’t believe the amount it pulls out of the air in short amount of time. My house always had a musty smell to it and now it’s practically gone.
