The only negative thing about this blanket is that the control key pad does not light up...but after several nights of turning it on in the middle of the night, I know where things are. It is a very comfortable and soft blanket and looks good even if you don't fold your comforter or bedspread. California King blankets are sometimes hard to find, and this is true to size and fits perfectly.

I would give this electric blanket 6 stars if I could, however, there is one issue. The length of the cords! We have had a half dozen of blankets over our lifetime and this is the ONLY one that has cords that are not long enough to hang over our headboard. We are so used to being able to just reach up and adjust or turn off our blanket, but no can do with this one. The cord barely reaches the top of our mattress, let alone hang over our headboard. Not sure what we are going to do yet. Right now, it is on the floor and our bed is pretty high so that in and of itself is not convenient. We are considering getting some sort of self adhesive tape to attach to our night stands, but out of all the furniture in our home, this is one set that is very expensive and real wood--not sure how I feel about sticking adhesive to the side of our night stands. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have such short cords should be required to use this blanket for a few weeks with a King sized bed. They'll likely rethink the length of the cord. For now, the controls are laying on the floor which is about two feet off our bed. First world problems, I am aware. Other than that, the blanket is very soft and it doesn't get too hot like some of them. I took one star off for what I consider to be a design flaw, at best. I never thought to check the specifications on cord length because it was never an issue--the cords were ALWAYS plenty long.

Got the blanket and put on my bed hooked up the controller to the bottom of the blanket and the controller that controls the bed would not reach the top of the bed to set on a nightstand. This is not acceptable for aCalifornia King bed

This electric heated blanket has been fantastic! Not only does it work great as a blanket, but its very long cord makes it versatile enough to use for warming up the chair at my desk, which I absolutely love. On cold mornings it gets pretty cold here, so having a warm seat to start my day is a treat that helps get me get my day going. It heats up so quickly, the relief from the cold is almost immediate. The coverage of the heat zones is also quite effective, the warmth is all-around. The LED display is a nice feature, convenient for showing the power level and the time I’ve set it on. This is a really nice blanket that’s both functional and cozy. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and versatile solution for chilly mornings–it’s good warmth at a good price.
