Couldn't have done it without it. I reinforced it with rubber strips that have adhesive backing. I glued them down with gorilla glue as well and duct taped the seams. I had to modify the plastic a bit with a grinder and a torch to cut and bend the plastic. Now it fits perfectly on my Craftsman dyt4000! And it will be able to take a beating from sticks and rocks without cracking. ... show more

Made with really brittle material and breaks easily. Was broken after using only a few times. Looking closer at it they can’t even spell feet right. The original deflector lasted for many years, but this new one lasted about 12 mowings. Operator said it cracked before that but they kept using it until it broke. It fit good, but is made cheap. ... show more

Will take some use to work flawlessly
The chute was very tight to fit over the opening, should loosen up over time. Otherwise seemed like the correct part.

Installed somewhat ok needed it was a bit tight but matched the original mostly but as for the quality of it well... It does discharge out of the side like it should but my very first mow the entire end of it cracked and by the time I got to my 4th mow the end of it has completely flown off into the lawn. If you want a cheap fix fast this works but it will not last the durability on this as abismal ... show more
