  • GREAT MEMORY
Size: 64GB Kit (2x32GB) Style: 2666MHz
Crucial is still the most reliable memory maker, but they have to work on the their order processing abilities. That lack of order processing is what drove me to Amazon to buy this upgrade for my MAC MINI. Great product but it is crucial to remember that the process doesn't end once the customer clicks the buy button. ... show more

  • Great addition to 2019 27" iMac 5k
Size: 64GB Kit (2x32GB) Style: 2666MHz
If you're wondering, yes, these can be added to the factory sticks that your machine came with - in my case adding these 32x2 gave me a total of 80GB and made a real difference. I organize my day-to-day by having a desktop open for each separate project - with each desktop having organized browser windows/tabs, Finder folders, etc. I was getting by with the factory stock 16gb, but upping the total RAM to 80gb is impressive. I unplugged the computer, rested it gently (padded) on the monitor, and pressed harder/further than anticipated on the button revealed under the power cord to pop open the memory cover. Note: set this cover aside in the same orientation to make reassembly easier with the flush fit. I pulled one factory 8gb stick and replaced it with the new 32gb stick, and repeated for the second replacement. I then put the original 8gb memory back in the two remaining slots. Your Mac wants the memory spread evenly across the channels - that is why there was originally a gap between them. So stick to that placement/spacing. In my case, my memory goes 32gb, 8gb, 32gb, 8gb. Make sure they are firmly and fully seated and close the tab back over and reassemble. Can be done in 5 minutes and you'll be very happy! Boot the system up and everything will initialize and you'll be good to go - if not, it is almost certainly because you don't have the memory sticks fully seated. ... show more

  • Much improved memory for iMac Pro, easy to install
Size: 32GB Kit (2x16GB) Style: 2666MHz
I have an iMac Pro (2017, retina, 27", base memory 8GB) that I like except for the memory - it's too slow, and gets jammed up if I've opened too many programs. With great trepidation, I read the Apple specs to see what memory I should get to upgrade, found that the local shops didn't have much on hand, and decided to do it myself. The directions seemed straightforward, but this isn't my strong suit, and my hands aren't particularly strong, so I didn't know if I could remove the original memory or seat the new memory. I ordered a set of two 16GB memory chips for this model, and waited until someone was around in case something went awry who might be able to assist. Apple's explanation was very clear about how to add memory. I also read reviewer comments to see what problems others had encountered. The only hitch was in pushing the button to open the memory compartment - that needed more pressure from an implement other than my finger (e.g., a small screwdriver). I decided to try using the two empty slots, leaving the old 4GB chips in place, since it would still be balanced, and put the chips in (easily), closed up, put the cables back and the machine upright, and voila! It worked! my iMac is much quicker, and so far it hasn't frozen or "jammed up", so I'm very pleased with these chips. They have made a noticeable, welcome change, and I'm not feeling like such a klutz! ... show more

  • Works for Mac Mini 2018
Size: 64GB Kit (2x32GB) Style: 2666MHz
Prices will drop but its great for now! Originally swapped out the 8gb from a Mac Mini 2018. Works flawless and without a hitch. Constantly at around 36+ gb of use so I know it will pay itself over. Had a decision to buy the mac studio 64gb vs this. Decided to wait for M2 or later since the studio is a bit overkill for my needs. So far even with this upgrade I have saved around $2000, so I can say its a win and it works without a hitch. Everything is super snappy even with an older Mac Mini so I am a happy customer. I can't believe I did not think of this earlier since I came from a macbook with memory pressure always so high and no ability to upgrade. ... show more
