I am very pleased with this purchase! Thought for sure it was going to be shorter than expected. I know I know..."60-inches" is the same no matter what and sure enough this is not a disappointment. This is a very nice lamp for the money. Straight away, let me point out that the lamp came with everything needed to assemble and use it. There was a rather spirited customer who in the questions section continually saying it comes with missing parts and I can confidently say, that seems to be an isolated issue to that person. As for the quality here, it looks nice, it's sells for a good price for what you get, and it's very easy to assemble. If you like the look in the photos, buy it.

I like it. It came in a tiny box so I wasn't quite sure it would be what I needed. Unpacking it was a pain - as someone else mentioned the styrofoam packing around it literally crumbles into a million pieces when you try to get the lamp out, so just be forewarned and have a vacuum on hand. But it was very easy to put together - took only a few minutes. It's perfect for the little spot I had in mind. Looks like it would have cost more. Can't beat the price.

I did read the reviews before I made the purchase. To the person who said the packing was terrible, thank you. Because of that I was aware ahead of time that the Styrofoam packing material was going to get all over everything and I was able to unpack the manufacturer’s box into the big Amazon shipping box so I didn’t get Styrofoam packing material everywhere. It was very easy to put together. However, the pole that screws into the base will not screw in properly. It looks like it does and then it tilts. And it is going to fall over if anything touches it. And then I will have a broken lightbulb on my hands. I hated the shade. Not just the color, the shade is canvas-like and not at all attractive. I cannot use this in my home office for fear that it will topple over and the lightbulb will break. Thankfully, it wasn’t a lot of money. I am not returning it because all of the Styrofoam packing material is in pieces. My next search will not be online, I will be looking in brick and mortar stores for this. I need it for my home office because the office is small and in the afternoon when the sun is at the back of the house, I need additional lighting in the office. Space restrictions dictate it be a floor lamp.

First - Can't say enough great things about Amazon Delivery Service, Super fast polite drivers - worth the cost ! Just got my lamp - Super easy to assemble even without directions, common sense, and only took minutes ! The enclosed lamp shade would need a cool iron run over it to look halfway decent, my advice - pick up a cheap one at Lowe's or Home Depot, you'll be much better pleased. Have a vac or dust buster handy as foam crumbles all over. Customer Feed Back sold me on this lamp and they were right ! Thanks to all who submitted Feedback as you told me what I needed to make a value decision ! Also -Assembled Lamp stand 5 feet tall, ignore item description that lists measurements as 15x15x15, that's only the shipping container size.

Ordered this because the price was great and it looked pretty for what I needed to sit in a corner next to my dining table for soft lighting. Two of the pole sections (the two near the bottom) didn't screw in as they should have. One of them starting stripping metal right away. As a result the pole is crooked right where the two connect. It would have been a hassle to return so I'm keeping it. I put a piece of silk vine around it to camouflage the crookedness.

I paid extra (50% more) to get the Antique Gesso color instead of the Golden Bronze mainly because of the lamp shade color. The pics show it to be much lighter than the Golden Bronze lamp shade. However, the lamp shade that came with my Antique Gesso base looks like it should go with the Golden Bronze base. It's freakin' GOLD! The middle pic is when I first pulled it out of the package. Shiny Gold! When I fully stretched it out it was a tad better, but as you see, still gold. The last pic looks OK. Depends on lighting, but basically this base is silvery color and the lamp shade is GOLD. Yuk. I was expecting more of a light taupe-y beige like the pic.

Easy to assemble even without reading any directions (which are included). Even the shade just clicks together and you're done in a minute. Note: I read several reviews before purchasing and noted the complaint about the base being made crooked and / or the middle section not going together well and making metal shavings. I knew exactly what the issue was and it was not with the lamp. The threads are of necessity very fine. It's easy to cross thread and not realize you have done it. Cross threading will make it lean as noted in others photos. By watching closely when you start screwing it together it will go together perfectly without forcing it. Once I had mine in hand it confirmed what I already knew. Nice lamp. We like the 3 - way. Fits in our skinny spot at the end of the couch perfectly. Handsome appearance, especially when dimly lit for mood lighting. Happy. P.S. If you're not sure about screwing it together, try turning it backwards about a half turn to see if it will start properly. Works for me lots of times. I wish you success. God bless you.
