The reviews on this lamp were rough. I took a chance with it and it worked out well! I can see where some may have had difficulty putting this lamp together. If you are uncertain, I suggest having someone help you. It certainly could have been manufactured a little more user friendly but at the same time, I was able to put it together easily in 15 mins and it is very sturdy. You just have to understand the pieces. I also see where some may think the gold is scratched or damaged but that would just be a misunderstanding of how gold leaf looks. Additionally you will have to be ok with the fact that gold leaf can peel if not careful. So just be very weary of peeling off those stickers. I just left mine there for now since I wanted to be reminded of the wattage. This lamp is so funky and cute. Really am so pleased with it! I say go for it!! ... show more

I do see the bow everyone refers to, but the piece itself is just so cute that it doesn't bother me. It perked up my space so much and made me start to enjoy said space so much more. As another reviewer mentioned, I put in a smart bulb that I have an app for so I can change warmth of the light and brightness, plus turn it on and off from my phone since it's on the opposite side of my bed. Bought this lamp on a whim and am very pleased with this purchase. Delivery in less than a week and very easy to assemble. I have received compliments from anyone that has stopped by the house. It fun, a little retro but still simple. The pink is a sweet pop of color! You can tell that the materials aren't super high-quality but that is reflective of the price. This lamp is adorable. I love the brushed metal look of the stand. And the lamp shade is so fun. However, it is a little crooked once fully assembled. The weight of the base is pretty good but it's still crooked. I ended up putting some cardboard under the front half of the base and it made it stand straight. If you are putting the lamp in a corner, you wouldn't even notice the lean. Regardless of this issue, I think it's a worthwhile purchase for the price!
