It can take the edge off, but it doesn't leave a clean chamfer and the chips vary wildly in size. It chatters a bit leaving an inconsistent surface finish.

You don't have to run the drill very long for it to have cleaned a cut off bolt to make it usable. Seems good quality. No problems.

It works ok on stainless all-thread. Very disappointing to get a "new" product and it has some sort of adhesive on the side where either a sticker was or it was stuck to something. There are scratches all over the outside and inside and metal shavings inside. Under the scratches it looks brass... not sure it I would trust this product on more than a few uses. ... show more

As a diy enthusiast, I have to say that this gadget does work quite well. I cut a lot of small stainless steel tubes to make my own computer cases, and I use it to make the cuts of these stainless steel tubes smooth and flat.
