This little sewing machine is adorable for pretend play. The lights and music make it feel “real” to kids, and the included kit gives them something to start with right away. It’s definitely more of a toy than a functioning machine, although they can do a few stitches, but that’s perfect for younger kids. It keeps them entertained and helps teach them how to use the big machine before they're ready for it. The size is just right for little hands, and it’s lightweight so they can carry it around. I got this to help teach my granddaughter to sew no instruction manual it doesn't turn off it doesn't tell you how to rethread it once it's unthreaded and it says that there's different stitches but you don't know how to get to them because again there is no instructions if you want to get frustrated buy one but and I do know it's just a toy I would not refer this to anybody

We’ve been having so much fun with this sewing machine! It’s perfect for our 7-year-old to take her first steps into sewing. The set comes with everything she needs to start, like loops and test fabric, plus helpful features like a tension knob and needle lifter that make sewing easier and more realistic. The one-button mouse operation is genius—she just turns it on and presses the control mouse, and the machine does the sewing automatically. It’s simple enough for her to use independently, which boosts her confidence. The lights and music add such a fun, relaxing vibe that keeps her excited to keep creating. Safety is clearly a priority here with the protective casing around the needle, so I’m never worried about her fingers. Plus, it’s made from environmentally friendly materials, which is a big plus for us. She is able to carry it around since it is so small and work anywhere in the house. We even patched up a shirt and fixed one of her toys together, and she loved feeling proud of her work. The cute pink and blue colors are a bonus—very kid-friendly and inviting. This would be absolutely perfect to teach young ones how to sew with a machine except for the pedal being used with your hand instead of foot which is why I had to take off one star since it would have been perfect if the pedal was able to be used with your foot but then again it is marketed as a toy haha. Since it takes batteries it does last awhile especially if you use rechargeable ones. It is easy to use even for an adult who has never used a sewing machine before and the size is perfect to not take up a lot of space while still functioning well and having a decent work space and speed. I think this is a good value for about $18 because wow this thing actually works decently well for when I am too tired to hand sew and get used to how machines work in general before making the big purchase. Perfect for mini crafts no matter the age in my opinion.

I got this sewing machine for my daughter, thinking it would be a great introduction to learning how to sew, as I'm an avid sewer, but she's nowhere near ready for my sewing machine. I was so wrong. At first glance, it's cute. It has a little mouse vs a pedal. A tiny little storage area for the thread and comes with extra thread. It feels sturdy and durable enough. But then it all went downhill. For starters, this sewing machine comes with zero instructions. Should have been my first red flag. I don't necessarily think I need instructions to operate a sewing machine, but I do think some sort of guide would have been nice. The machine comes with fabric already in the feed, but to remove the fabric, there's no real way to do that. At least no practical way that I could find to pull the thread out to give slack to cut; instead, all the stitches just unraveled. I tried with a scrap fabric of mine, same thing. The stitches do not hold when you try to remove the fabric, so you just end up with an incredibly long thread. Which, I get it, it's just a toy, but I did at the very least expect the stitches to hold. The toy isn't really functional for anything except stitching in a line, and it's extremely loud while doing so. The battery life seemed fine; however, we didn't use this much once we realized it was quite the waste of time. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this unless it's for a baby; even at 3, I would say it's a very dull toy.

I thought this was a toy sewing machine that my little one could play with while I am doing my own sewing, OH NO!! This is the real deal! It has two spools of thread already placed and threaded. It has a real needle protected by a plastic shield. The button is on a cord about 12” long. And it comes with a practice cloth. It’s a great size for little hands and I’m fairly confident in my little one’s ability to operate it with supervision of course. It quiet for a sewing machine and seems easy to use. Threading is a little difficult but not impossible.
