Two weeks in and I am very happy. I've tried and owned many different coffee makers - from pods to espresso. This one is my absolute favorite. From espresso to latte, this machine does it all and does it efficiently, somewhat quietly but most importantly to me - consistently. I had to spend few days playing with various grind settings, milk settings and learn small details that made final product absolutely best. I am no longer want to go out, wait for coffee and pay $7-8 per cup that may or may not taste the same as day before. Really, very happy with this machine. Hope it lasts! Pros - Consistent, Easy of use, Easy to clean (self clean features help too), Plenty of coffee options, Instant hot water for tea, fast milk prep for hot chocolate for kids, relatively quiet, compact enough to fit anywhere on the counter, great value for money Cons - water filter dependency (not critical and optional to use). This is the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. We’ve switched around with some of the k-cup and capsule type brewers and have always been very disappointed in the coffee quality and value. All I can say is this machine makes phenomenal coffee drinks with your choice of beans. Once we figured out how much money we were spending on sub-par capsules from a well known manufacturer, we realized we could get much higher end coffee at a much better price. Our machine will pay for itself in about a year based on how much coffee we drink and the money we save from not having to buy overpriced subpar capsules. One complaint I’ve read is people say the coffee isn’t hot enough. We don’t experience that at all with this machine. It’s not scorching hot, but then again it shouldn’t be in my opinion. It’s the perfect temperature and mirrors any high-end coffee shop. Also the cold drinks are outstanding. I highly recommend this machine! ... show more

FANTASTIC Machine. My wife and I debated long and hard over whether the DUO was worth the price. We've had it now for a couple of weeks and we're both thrilled that we made a good decision. It's very ease to learn to use and we're having great fun trying out new coffee recipes. The 'cold brew" recipes are very good and my wife ha been very impressed with the quality of "drip" coffee even when choosing to use the machine to grind the beans. I don't understand why three extraction options aren't more readily available on more machines, but DeLonghi has a winner at a price point that is competitive. ... show more

Omg what an amazing coffee maker. I had Nesspresso before and wanted to switch to healthier versions of coffee and so I chose this one after long research. And trust me , you won’t regret if you buy it. $999 is a bit more expensive than other coffee makers but worth it every penny. It makes delicious cold drinks, and hot . It has two parts for ground coffee and whole bean which I use whole bean decaf and my husband would use regular coffee so this was great catch. I hope it lasts for long . ... show more
