This is a powerful drone, which is very easy to fly. The Volo X is very stable in reasonable windy conditions; I did not test it in strong wind. The camera is very good quality. If you want a panoramic video, spin slowly to avoid lags; this is not a problem given you can speed up the video to the desire rate post processing when possible. The avoidance system works very well, though you should be careful when operating close to trees with small branches. The system may miss them, but it is valid for any drone even the most expensive ones. The remote control is very comfortable to use and the screen is very clear. It is going to be used for teaching research project in Physics!

Super proud outdoor dad here! My wife and I have 2 little guys, 7yr old twin boys, who we’ve been taking on adventures since they were old enough to walk. They are super athletic and love to compete whether it’s biking, snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing, soccer, tennis, and their new favorite- Wakeboarding. We have a lakehouse and last summer as soon as my one son popped up on the board I knew the other would follow shortly after. I know this is a drone review so I’ll try to get to my point, but all you fathers out there know why I get so jazzed talking about them. Over the years, we’ve gone through so many go-pros which are essential for our active lifestyles, but my wife got me this Razor drone for my bday in March so that we could capture everything from a sky view as well and make our family videos my dynamic. I always wanted a video camera drone but I’m an outdoorsy type who can’t stand technology. I’m 40yo, so yes I know I should be good with tech, but I have absolutely no interest or patience for it. I don’t wanna spend time figuring out how stuff works and it always leads to frustration. My wife is good with tech, so I guess that kinda enables me. Anywhoo, this thing has been so easy to set up and fly, I can’t believe how easy they are nowadays. I barely have to touch anything and it will capture the footage for me. My wife likes to actually fly it and capture footage manually whereas I like to use the automated smart features. Both come out so clear and the best part is there’s no shakiness like go-pros always have! I found out that’s because go-pros don’t have gimbals, or maybe go-pros just don’t have good ones? Not sure, but I can’t believe what we’ve been missing out on with how smooth the video footage is. I’ll try to get my wife to attach a video here to show what I mean. Anyway, awesome drone. We’ve already used it mountain biking out west, and it’s got us all so excited to use on the slopes this winter and at the lake this spring/summer.

I recently had the opportunity to test out the DCXU Volo X Ez AI drone, and I must say, it has been an incredibly positive experience so far. Right from the start, the packaging impressed me—everything was carefully secured with protection in mind, ensuring the drone arrived in perfect condition. The setup process was incredibly smooth. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone new to drones. I appreciated how intuitive the whole experience was. Additionally, DCXU’s customer support was outstanding, promptly answering any questions I had with detailed, helpful responses. For the first flight, I took things slow to get used to the controls. I tested out simple push broom patterns, and the drone responded beautifully to my commands. It was incredibly stable throughout the entire flight, providing a reassuring level of control. The second flight focused more on taking advantage of the drone's pre-programmed flight patterns and utilizing the camera. I was impressed with how steady the camera remained, even during sharp maneuvers. Whether I was hovering or moving through the air, the drone’s stability never wavered. The hovering feature was particularly impressive; the drone held its position at various altitudes with zero drift, making for a smooth and reliable experience. In terms of battery life, the drone performed well. After about 40 minutes of flight time, which included both of the above sessions, I still had roughly 25% of battery left. That’s impressive, considering the level of performance throughout the flights. The DCXU Volo X Ez AI drone is a delight to fly. It’s easy to use, responsive, and offers a stable, fun experience, whether you're a beginner or more advanced pilot. I’m looking forward to exploring its capabilities even further with more flights ahead. Overall, it's a well-built and enjoyable drone that I highly recommend. I just received my first Volo X EZ AI drone and I am extremely satisfied with the drone and the instructions delivered with it. I did my first setup and FAA registration, and now I am training myself to fly it. I was a pilot by trade, so this looks well built and feels it too. Everything is crystal clear and I am having no issues preparing for flight. I have assembled, charged and read all instructions, downloaded the apps involved (Fly-FTP) and as soon as the weather permits will do my first training flight. I am extremely excited and cannot wait to use this well done drone, and get taking some pictures. Yes I also fitted the remote with a microsd card to store my images and flights. Things I noted for assembly and preflight are - when the instructions talk about unlocking the props, they actually mean the props will start turning at a lower speed as in an idle speed. I say this because I did not realize unlocking meant actually running the motors. I very much like the Lidar obstacle avoidance system made to point at whatever direction the drone is flying. Some other drones with this feature only have it pointing in the front of the drone. Well as we know this drone can fly sideways and backwards too, so having that Lidar facing whichever way the drone is traveling is important as its not always traveling forward. I have some pictures (unfortunately Amazon did not allow me to upload a couple short videos) to show the assembly and lighting it has on it and the remote syncing to the drone. I am certainly going to enjoy this drone, and I love the support that the DCXU company has created so I do not have to rely on blogs or endless google searches to find out info on the drone. During pre-purchase I had many questions answered quickly by DCXU support and already realize they back their drones well! Thanks DCXU!

I had high hopes, but didn't live up to them. Nice drone with stable flight and a good camera. strange way of turning everything on - short press + short wait + long press to turn on controller or drone. But I have to return it - the controller keeps on losing communication/sync with the drone. The drone can be controlled, but the screen will freeze with an old image and not move.

I’ve had the Volo X EZ AI from DCX Unlimited for about a month now, and I love it. I wanted something easy to fly, packed with great features, and within my price range. This checked all the boxes. My favorite feature is the large built in screen in the remote. It’s big and beautiful, and I don’t have to mess with my phone. Camera quality is great. The integrated payload release mechanism is a nice feature to have. And it flies really well, maintaining stability even in high winds. I get about 45 minutes of flight time on a single charge, with range of up to 4 miles. Fantastic for a drone of this price. Last but not least, I love that it’s an American company. Their team has been very responsive to questions. 10/10 great people. Highly recommend.

I bought this drone last Christmas and had nothing but problems with it. Batteries only lasted about 15 minutes. Controller to drone connectability issues. Sometimes controller would not turn on took several tries to get it to power on. Sent it back for refund. Bought a Potensic 3 and this thing has performed flawsly. App is easy to use , comes with 3 batteries and charger and the batteries do last 30 plus minutes. Controller to drone connects easily I’ve had it for 5 months and no issues whatsoever so ever. Have flown it over 100 hours with no problem .
