I bought a drone from DCX Unlimited, Inc. in March. It is an awesome machine! I was impressed. The AI makes it very stable. I don't know how it works but I was flying on a 25MPH windy day (because I wanted to see how that worked :) It was great, but I was concerned about the landing. I don't know if it's the AI or not, but when I brought it in for the landing the AI seemed to counteract the wind and made it super easy to land. It also has obstacle avoidance to keep you from doing anything too stupid. The payload drop hook is pretty cool too. The camera has great resolution in still and video pics. To top it off, the customer service has been great. I'm in California and they are based in New Jersey. I sent an email for tech support at 5pm my time and got help within an hour. Ultimately they decided there was a technical issue with Drone and replaced it no questions asked. Technically the warranty period was up by 3 months, but they felt that the unit should not have been experiencing this problem so they replaced it. Damn I love this American company! The drone is amazing, but the company's support for updates is nonexistent, so I’m not sure how long the software will be supported.

I had high hopes, but didn't live up to them. Nice drone with stable flight and a good camera. strange way of turning everything on - short press + short wait + long press to turn on controller or drone. But I have to return it - the controller keeps on losing communication/sync with the drone. The drone can be controlled, but the screen will freeze with an old image and not move. ... show more

Buyer Beware! I purchased a DCX drone last week. I have been unable to fly it. I spent considerable time reviewing the owner's manual. Everything I did failed. The step-by-step process, as outlined the owner's manual, did not correct the drone's failure to technical problems. I have called DCX several times. On my first call, a front-office person said she could not transfer me to a technical representative. Instead, she will escalate my "urgent" request to DCX's technical team. And that I would receive a call from them within 24-48 hours. After 4 days of waiting, and several follow-up calls since, I have heard nothing. I do not know if the delivery came from the manufacturer, or a re-selller. Either way, I will have no choice but to return the drone to Amazon. If you plan on purchasing a drone, there are a number of other manufackturers to evaluate (e.g., DJI). Be sure to check on the internet for their customer and technical support ratings. ... show more

I’ve had 2 first 1 flew great but if you scan barcode to do other things it didn’t work,sent it back didn’t get a full refund 2nd 1 ordered sent a used 1 and after about a week,up and down on camera quite working and didn’t fly as good as the 1st Sent it back haven’t got refund back yet

    • Finally got some help and things are looking better
I had previously wrote a review about the product support, which was not favorable, mainly because the number they provide was never answered the 6 times I called it and the voice mail was full. I also was frustrated with the web site in that it made me prove I was not a robot 6 times, very annoying. Eventually I was able to get help via email and understood the problems I was experiencing. Turns out, this is their newest model of drone the accompanying literature and videos that the literature's QR codes take you to, were mostly not applicable. All in all, I am finally getting the assistance and understanding I needed. The drone itself is amazing and as I learn to fly it, I know I will enjoy it even more. And yes, I did get the insurance :) ... show more
