I installed this a couple months ago. Nice rebuild. Works like it should. I have a 2007 Freestar. Watch the You Tube videos available to install. I ended up replacing the wire harness as well. After replacing the wiring and alternator the issues went away.

Easy to install. Arrived quickly. Easy to check fits car. Only reason I took two stars off is because the speedometer stopped working after installed.. yes i had brand new battery fully charged.. took a little more work because of that but otherwise satisfied.

    • Fulfilled its warranty period
Needing an alternator and not having a lot of extra cash I went with this one as it was cheaper than I could find locally. It worked fine for almost a year and a half then died. It did fulfill its warranty period but not much more. Stranded my wife and kids about forty miles from home with no prior warning. It worked then just completely died. Lost half a day of work going to get them and then had to purchase another alternator. If you need a functional alternator that lasts 10+ years like OE did, go with something better. It may cost you twice as much but in the long run will probably save you money and hassle. If you need something to get your car going NOW and have limited cash then this may fit the ticket. Just be aware that it probably isn't going to last like OE alternator and may cost you more in the long run. All in all it lived up to its warranty so it gets 3 stars. Guess I was hoping for a 5 star alternator for a 1 star price. Would I recommend? That's a decision you have to make based on this review. ... show more
