Beautiful lights to go with the night sky theme im bringing to life in my home. I got two of them for my hallways! They come very padded and safe. Easy instructions. Took 20 minutes to wire and mount both of them in.

This light was the perfect choice to add some interest to the landing hallway in our basement. Installation wasn’t terribly complicated but just a bit tricky as we had to screw it into an old 1940s junction box where it wasn’t easy to see where the screws fit when the fixture was pressed against the ceiling. That said, we managed to install it with a little patience (and a headlamp to see into the junction box!), and it looks great. It seems sturdy and well-made. The little hinge makes changing the lightbulb easy, too. It’s a lovely, unique fixture for the price and worth a slightly fussy installation. Happy with the purchase. ... show more

I love the look of this light- in that aspect, it is perfect. The way the rays emanate and cast angular shadows on the ceiling gives a romantic look to the room. However, I agree with other reviewers that the light is diffused and dim. Perhaps it would be okay for ambiance in a location that does not depend on being well-lit. I’ve found that it is too dim for the bedroom and we must depend upon other lighting. Due to this, we are considering switching this fixture out since it unfortunately does not cast enough light to be practical in our bedroom. ... show more

The Moravian Star ceiling light is beautiful and very well made. The attention to detail is exquisite. This light has a slide latch which you use to open and securely close the glass star when installing or replacing a light bulb. When opened, there is plenty of room so you can easily replace the light bulb. At the tip of each star point is a small ball which gives the light a beautifully finished look. The seeded glass gives the light a beautiful, rich look and when the light is on it is absolutely stunning! I purchased 2 Moravian Star ceiling lights from different seller and immediately returned them. The design for the light bulb access was horrible. The access was small making it difficult to install a bulb and the access was not secured with a latch. Instead they used a pressure fit to keep the access closed. Very poor design as the access to the light bulb would not stay shut and would open when held in the mounting position. ... show more

I’m surprised by all the reviews saying what a monster this is to install; they almost convinced me to return this without trying. Glad I did because, by myself, I got this up in under 10 minutes, including turning off the breaker. Make sure you take something to stack on top of the ladder to hold it while you wire (I used the box and styrofoam it came with), start the first ceiling screw by hand, and it was easily finished with my cordless drill / screwdriver. Looks great and is well made for the price. If you’ve ever installed a ceiling light or fan before, you’ll be fine ... show more
