It's a good product and installation was as straightforward as described with good adhesion of the light strips. I wasn't expecting the weight of the connectors and could have used at least a couple of clips to secure the ends where the barrel connectors join the light strips. (Unless you're connecting it so that section lies flat, I'd be concerned about stress on that connection over time. In my installation, that section of was vertical, so I used a couple of low voltage cable staples (the kind designed for coax) and that took care of it. As another reviewer stated, there's no mounting for the control switch, but, again, some industrial velcro can take care of that. In short, the description is accurate, it's a basic, "bare bones" kit and a good value. (PS I just installed it, so I don't have any information on longevity but I'm hoping for the best.) ... show more

    • Listing said lights run on 12 V but they are actually 24 V

Lights work ok with the included power supply, but it is 24 V not 12 V as advertised. The lights thus are incompatible with existing 12 V lights and power supplies I currently have. The included power supply also gets very hot when powering the 2 strings of lights at full brightness.

I was looking for a white light without RGB. This product was easy to install. Everything was easy to figure out and use. The project is only halfway done and already it looks great. The stickiness of the tape was just fine. And the dimmer is a great feature. Love it!

The power supply cord broke off after a week of using. I had to rip it apart to try and reattach the wires. It works here and there. Did not have a solder gun. Tried to reach out to them. No response.

Once installed, they work great. The inconsistencies I had experienced were: 1) some images would show a power supply that was split with two separate light strips over with the same total length.What I received was a single strip in reality, that is what I wanted. 2) I ordered several of these and some came with a 9 V power supply, and some came with a 12 V power supply. The 9 V did not always work. They are were prompt in providing replacements, and again that inconsistency persisted. Because of their excellent customer service I would definitely recommend these as long as you're willing to spend time on interactions with the company before they get right, but when they do get it right, it is a good value. ... show more

These are great! I put them in my living room as extra lighting. I like that we can dim them for brightness during the day, but when we want to watch a movie or have a little light to see at night you can get them pretty dim. I wish there was a remote so you didn’t have to get up to mess with them, but other than that they are great ... show more

Using a spliter adapter forces the user to have their power source in the middle. (Not cool) In my case I was more concerned with unusable scrapes as I needed to cut the roll into many segments. And of course I would have some remainder, but I didn't want to cry over the wasted product. I used some wire adapters and connected these strips to automotive power to light up a Cargo box truck space. This worked very well. One exception is that 1 LED lamp is defective.
