Just what I needed for a canvass. Works well, dries quickly.

Doesn't work well on glass.
Color: white
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I am giving Gesso 5 stars because I believe it would work well on surfaces other than glass. It is very thick and creamy and would probably work like another famous primer to cover stains and provide a clean surface for paint to bond. I purchased this product because of instructions I found on the internet to prime mason jars prior to painting. The product went on very easy and appeared to be dry the next day when I used chalk paint on the jars. I found that the chalk paint chipped and cracked after drying overnight. I was able to remove all the Gesso and paint with a wet rag and decided to prime the glass with polycrylic which worked great on the jars. I'm keeping the Gesso, because I want to use it to prime a wooden table before painting.

It's good for covering up painted-on canvases for re-painting.

Spreads and looks professional.
Color: white
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is the first time I’ve ordered or used gesso, so I wasn’t sure about its ease of use. But after the first coat on a wrapped canvas (“primed” but I was told to add gesso), I’m very happy with this product. It’s thick like good pancake batter, and went on smoothly. My only issue was trying to make sure I covered the whole white canvas with this white gesso. It also cleaned up with liquid dish detergent, much better than when I tried artists medium as an alternate to gesso.

Small and affordable...

Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Yes, I paint, but I do not need a gallon of gesso. Thank you for having a small size for us small hobby painters.

I applied two coats of this product to cover up a previous painting and it worked just fine. Thick and creamy but easy to use.
