Hard hat shell itself is amazingly light and well worth the weight savings. My head thanks me. The 6 point suspension is amazing. I usually had the cheapo 4 point suspension plastic hardhats that you have to crank down hard to get to stay on your head unlike this hardhat. The swiveling backside of the suspension hooks farther down around my head and allows me to turn my head directly upside down and it doesn't fall off. Shoveling lifting climbing wont make it fall off. From my experience with this hardhat I highly recommend it to anyone with the nice leather style suspension 6 pt . My coworker has recently purchased one and is waiting for the multi color custom ones to come back out end of may 2019. Highly recommend this hardhat. But if you get it and don't like it simply send it vack and exchange it dont ve like these other guys making basic reviews and not thinking logically. If you dont like it its simple send it back. They happily deal with you in any way to help make it right. My coworker wanted to try the fiberglass style and the weight comparison form that to the carbon fiber is still noticeable. Carbon is definitely the lightest weight. I work some days for 14 hrs at a time wearing a hardhat all day long being on the railroad. I wanted a comfortable hardhat and this is it

This hard hat is bad ass, I don't know why there's sissys writing otherwise, they must have a big ass lopsided head or wear a bicycle helmet like a nerd. The carbon fiber looks dope, the lay on it is nice and uniform. The harness inside is extremely comfortable and holds to my head insanely well with next to no pressure applied by the band, I haven't had to take off or hold my hat just to look up or down which is a first. And its the lightest hardhat I've ever seen, saying its the same to a cheap plastic hard hat is retarded and whoever thinks that probably chews on crayons while wearing a grocery bag on there head calling it a hard hat. Get that hat, no doubt about it.

I work off and on as a timber faller, my favorite hard hat is an old aluminum hat made in the 40’s. I thought maybe I could get something else that was a bit stronger, safer, modern and replaceable. Who does like carbon fiber? I mean REAL carbon fiber, not hydro dipped plastic trash. So I found this. Read the reviews about durability issues with the suspension system and thought I’d give it a try anyway. I love the way it looks. The suspension is comfortable and easy to adjust. But I do not like how high the hat rides on my head. I feel like poindexter wearing it. It’s noticeably heavier than my vintage aluminum brain bucket, but not too bad. It’s hotter than heck in direct sun. It I unclip the front two suspension points I can get the hat to ride like I want, but I’m certain that reduces its effectiveness. Very frustrating for an otherwise fantastic looking hard hat. I’m gonna keep it and use it here and there. But I’ll be using my 80 year old aluminum hat (with west coast saw liner) for most of my brain protecting needs.

Absolutely the best hard hat I have ever had over the past 30 years. Light weight and doesn't get hot in the sun for being black. Very impressive to look at also. Nice to know it is hand laid carbon fiber and not an injection molded cookie cutter.

It does scuff a little like some people have said but its a hardhat. I mean what do you expect? Its not going to stay perfect forever if you're wearing it at construction sites. Its light and very comfortable. Definitely the best hardhat I've ever owned. It does get you noticed, not too many people are willing to spend the money on a hardhat.

You would be surprised how ounces add up on your head throughout the day, overall weight. I operate equipment all day, mostly excavators and hoes. Having been in a car accident this last august , I have been very aware of any neck movement, strain, ect.. Needing to replace my expired hard hat I went on a search to eliminate weight and neck strain, came across the DAX carbon fiber and cerious composites in a store, did the hand in hand weigh in , ended up purchasing the DAX by Lift , and have never been happier. This hat is LIGHT, I mean light, looks pretty cool, and being carbon, you can bash your head all day long on ROP's getting in and out , without missing a beat. All seriousness though the hat is fantastic, ratchet system is easy and really comfortable on your head, over-all I would buy this hat again.
