I bought this cause I got my hair dyed red professionally! The shampoo is great, it makes my hair a darker red when I use it. I recommend mixing it with another shampoo just because it’s so pigmented. A little goes a long way

Leaves my hair VERY soft and silky feeling, with lots of shine and bounce. My hair is very fine so anything that makes it silky but not weighed down is great in my book. It doesn't tint the hair as much as the leave-in conditioners do but that's sort of expected as I leave the conditioner in for 10-15 minutes. I use this in combination with the Alchemic conditioner in copper since the stylist used multiple reds and gingers in my dye and I feel like they're a good combo. My complaint is that the bottle has too much space left at the top, it's still quite a full bottle but my conditioner was filled to right under the cap line while the shampoo has enough space to fit more product in :| If you have long or very thick hair you might go through it fairly quick. I like the product itself but for the price I am paying I want a full bottle!

This works best when used with the Davines Alchemic Red conditioner. When you use the two together the result is very nice. My hair is smooth, soft and more easy to manage. I have my hair colored professionally; I'm not a natural redhead. This product was recommended to me by my stylist and I've been using it off and on for a few years now. This isn't something you need to use everyday; I generally use it a few times a week. Other reviewers have mentioned you need to use a lot of the shampoo to get it to lather. A little bit will go further if you keep a little water in your hair; not so much that it's dripping though. I leave a little bit of water in my hair and then add a little shampoo and lather. If I need a little more shampoo, I add it, but generally that does the trick. How much you need will of course depend on how much hair you have. The shampoo by itself will make your hair feel a little like straw but once you work in the conditioner it's smooth as silk!

I love Davines products. I have placed many comments on Davines products and this is has to be one of my favorite one. I recently dyed my hair burgundy with eggplant balayage. Since red dye tend to fade quickly, I always look for hair products that do not strip my color plus help nourishing/ restoring/ protecting my processed hair. Davines Alchemic Shampoo Red does it all. It actually deposits color to my hair which keeps the color last longer. I shampoo my hair with this product follow with the same conditioner 2/3 times a week. After every wash, my hair smells great and smooth. The color becomes more bright and vibrant. My coworkers often asked me if I have dyed my hair again or what I did to my hair. Love it
