I bought this waffle maker hoping I would be OK with it. I am in fact totally in love with this item. It is sturdy feeling, works beautifully, and I am so happy I bought it. I love that the plates can stand vertically to allow it to take up less counter space. It heats quickly and cooks the waffles evenly in about 1 minute 45 seconds. This is a great waffle iron, and very easy to use. Suggestion…take a cooked sausage patty and run a wooden skewer through it so it looks like a lollipop. Coat the sausage on a stick in your waffle batter and cook it as usual. Dip the sausage waffle in syrup. Yum. Kids will love it, too.

Nothing in my review will keep me from using this waffle maker. Minor inconveniences. The instructions are vague at best. 1. The lights are useless the blue light comes on with power. The half white light comes on too quickly and the full white light comes on too fast as well. 2. The instructions suggest using 3/4 cup of batter. This is not enough to fill the plates. I tried 1 cup, better but still not enough. 3. After I flip it over I have to weigh down one side of the handle to keep it level. Here's what I do now. I wait 5 minutes after I plug it in to pour the batter. I use a little more than 1 cup of batter. I flip it over and put a bag clip on one side of the flip handle to keep it from rolling over. I wait 2 minutes 30 seconds if I want soft waffles, up to 5 or 6 minutes for crispy waffles. So bottom line, this machine is easy to clean, releases the waffles easily and they are hot and delicious. I don't mind a little experimenting to be able to have good homemade waffles. Good luck. ... show more
