This is a budget priced dash cam with front and rear cameras. I got this dash cam after getting hit by another car, and the other driver denied the responsibility. The first unit that I received did not function properly, I hope that is just a single case. The replacement unit seems fine except for the rear camera. The power cable and rear camera cable are quite long, 12 ft and 18 ft respectively. The front unit can be easily placed on the windshield. The installation of the rear camera requires a bit of work due to the camera placement and the hiding of the cable. The front camera video quality is good during the daytime. The nighttime video is not very clear. The recordings from the rear camera were laggy and blurry initially. And then for no reason, they just became normal after a few days. I am searching online to check whether the rear camera is defective. The dash cam operation is quite simple, once installed, it turns itself on and off with the car. The parking monitor may be useful if the recording duration can be increased to longer. The issues that I have with the rear camera: 1. The video recordings sometimes are very laggy. 2. When the videos are good, it is still not very well-focused. 3. The field of view is not wide enough. I have tried placing the camera at different heights using masking tape, but I can’t get a wide enough shot. This dash cam is okay for the price range. If your budget is limited like mine, I will suggest getting it for basic protection. ... show more

    • Works well, good support experience
The cameras work well and have sufficient features. The picture is definitely good enough to record what's going on around you. It feels a bit flimsy, but it's holding up fine and at this price, you shouldn't be expecting any better. After 8 months or so the cigarette lighter plug broke at the tip where the connection is made. I emailed the support address and they shipped a replacement free of charge. We have to unplug it when not in use because our cars don't cut power to the lighter when the engine is off. You can set it to shut down when there is no movement and that keeps the car battery alive when we forget to unplug, but it won't turn back on unless you unplug and plug it back in. So check the tip every so often to be sure it's screwed on all the way, and be gentle with it, not pressing too hard into the socket and you'll be fine. ... show more

    • Works Good to Capture Incidents, But Not Details Like License Plates
This item does work good to store a lot of video footage of front and rear dash cams. It was VERY simple to install, had to also but a 15 dollar Power splitter so I can use my phone charger as well. You route this across your interior trim on the side of the ceiling and down your dashboard and center console to the cigaratte lighter/power outlet. The night vision is okay, and I've found that license plates don't show up very well. The trick I've found for this is to simply speak the license plate number and vehilcle make/model/color since your can record voice as well. ... show more

    • Easy to use. Challenge to install in a Pickup Truck.
Great little dash am at a great price. The install of the front camera was super easy, took less than 5 minutes. The rear facing camera was a little more difficult. The included mount was made for a car or SUV with a sloping rear window. I was installing it in a RAM 1500 P/U Truck with a flat rear window. I was able to cut and adapt the additional windshield mount that used the 3M VHB Tape to mount. I had to use my dremel tool to reshape the bracket. Fortunately, it worked out just fine and I have a mounting bracket for the flat back window. It was easy to run the wiring behind the trim and set up was fine in less than 30 minutes. The dash cam is easy to use. I have it plugged into an outlet that is always hot, so the dash cam records all the time. The loop recording works well and the memory card has plenty space It is easy to pop out the camera, attach to my computer and download the files. Very happy with the product. ... show more
