This is my first dashcam to test and review. It is easy to initialize (e.g., set the date, time, resolution, etc.). The mounting hardware consists of a suction cup base onto which the camera slides on to. Power is supplied via a standard cigarette lighter plug, plenty of power cord length, and a D-connector that plugs into the camera. In the two images I posted, the first is a picture while parked on the street from inside the car. The second is the image recorded by the camera, which seems pretty decent. The resolution was set to 1020 pixels. The camera’s image screen is not the most spectacular, but it is sufficient to show you the camera’s status and that it is recording. The camera’s recording are videos that break at whatever interval you set it at (e.g., every 3 minutes). This yields a folder of sequential recording files that you can go to on the camera’s storage device (i.e., micro SD card). I think it is easiest to pull the card and use a computer to go through the recordings. The instructions recommend the use of a 32-GB, class 10, micro SD card (not included in the package). I had a tough time initially using the camera as I did not have one. Fortunately, I found a 128-GB SD card that I could use after reformatting it to FAT32. What would make this dashcam spectacular is a power cable that can draw power from a USB or USB-C port in the car, along with the ability to link to my iPhone via Bluetooth so files can be automatically transferred there from the camera’s internal storage.

I have a dash cam in my truck and wanted one for the wife's SUV. This came well packaged with clear instructions. I popped in a 32gb Micro SD card (purchased separately) and installed it in minutes. It comes with a 12volt "cigarette lighter" power supply and a very long cord if you want to route the cable along the dash and up the head liner to be out of the way. The screen image is excellent, the image recording resolution is great, and the date/time stamp could prove useful in the event of an accident. It truly gives about a 170 degree image, so it can record the cars along the front sides of your vehicle, not just the road ahead. Great peace of mind with this. Automatically starts recording when the car is started, and shuts off when the car is shut down. The menu settings are easy to use. Very happy.

Pros: - price - size - would be good as a backup or for travel to use in a rental Cons: - getting into the menu to change settings is tricky; there is no dedicate menu button - uses out dates USB port instead of the USB C; this will make it tricky to find a hardwire kit or to use a USB A based cable for cars without a 12v cigarette port. - power adapter completely uses up 12v cigarette port. It would have been nice to include a USB port on the adapter. - picture is very grainy even at 1080p Please note, the manual advises not to n leave the camera in the sun or in a vehicle on your days. Depending on where you live, you might have to uninstall the camera instead of leaving it the vehicle if you live in a warmer part of the country.

This is a very inexpensive dash cam. It does record video in 1080 but the quality is pretty poor so don’t expect to see a lot of detail (in an accident, you might be able to see who’s at fault, but reading license plate numbers might be a challenge). It includes a power connection, which has a light, but you will need an additional power connector for the parking sensor feature to work (most dash cams are like this). The suction cup mount worked well to hold the camera. It does not include an SD Card so you will need to buy one. Also, you will need to remove the SD Card in order to retrieve video by using a PC or something. It does not have WiFi. The instructions are fairly good.

This Dash Cam is certainly no GoPro. The camera definitely feels like and flimsy, the screen is very small, and the manual is a bit of a joke. But: as a cheap insurance to provide evidence in a crash, it is well suited. The suction mount works well, installation and operation are extremely simple, and the price is right. The manual warns not to use standard USB chargers, but I have used a USB wiring kit directly to the car electrics with no ill effect (your milage might vary). Overall, you get exactly what is advertised and what you payed for it. Recommended for the price!

It's a basic function dashcam with an onboard screen. Mounting is straightforward with the suction cut and attachment bracket. The camera is large, comparative to other varieties, but for the price it's a deal. It uses micro SD cards. My biggest complaint is the mini USB cable, I don't know why they didn't use usb-c or even micro as the mini USB reauirese to either use their 12v plug or an adapter.

The media could not be loaded. For the current price its actually not bad. It's basically a plug and play system once you insert the micro sd card, no apps or anything else. Powered by an antiquated usb mini b to a 12v. Resolution it's the best so making out a license plate will be difficult unless you're super up close. Not sure how the suction and device will hold up to summer heat so we'll have to see. It beats not having anything though.

With the way drivers are today this is definitely a must have. You would need to purchase a SD card, however it will work without it. I love how small and compact it is. It is also very discreet. It was easy to set up and the instructions were clear.
