So, I hate ordering stuff like socks without being able to see and touch the product. You can read all of the product description and think you are getting something good and then when it arrives it is completely different. I have now worn a pair of these socks and I can say they fit, feel, and wear great (socks stayed up and did not fall or roll down on my leg). They are thicker than my normal hunting socks but more dense (if this makes sense) and my feet did not get cold. I have worn them with tennis shoes, they are not bulky, and the socks were not damp when I took off my tennis shoes (my feet sweat - sorry, I blame my parents for my genetics). Anyway, for me to pay this much for a pair of socks was a hard decision but feel they are a good product and well worth the money to not have wet, cold, or numb feet/toes while sitting in the woods. Our grandson is so hard in socks! Every month our daughter is buying more socks for him because he wears through them with his toes peeking out. He’s had “Darn Tough” socks for 6 months and they are still intact. I bought 5 pairs as Christmas presents. They were 1 size larger because I’m not sure if his feet are finished growing AND I have these socks myself, they seem to shrink, ever so slightly, in the wash. ... show more

I've only worn these a couple of times at this point, and washed them only once. Based on that limited experience, these are very comfortable, lightly padded socks that do not smell after a couple of days combined athletic (walking and cycling) and daily wear use. They can be machine washed and air dried, resulting in no shrinkage that I'm able to detect. The lifetime warranty is a big selling point as well. I purchased these socks 7 months ago and washed and worn them 225 times and I don’t see any wear on them. I live in a apartment with a small washing machine and dryer so I wash every day. So my testimony is these truly are darn tough socks!
