My 9 year old son is always cold when swimming. Even if it's 100 degrees outside, he'll be cold and shivering within 5 minutes. I finally broke down and bought him this wetsuit so he can enjoy playing at the pool with his friend. HE STAYS WARM! It fits well. It seems to be high quality (although I'm careful not to dry it). He is tall and slender so in order to fit the height chart he didn't fit the minimum weight for that size. I decided to try the size based on his height and I would return it if it didn't work. Exactly as described. Nice colors, good material, easy to get on/off and zip, and the kids loved them. I got two for my daughters who are 5 and 2 and the sizes were perfect based on the size chart. I got a small for my 2, almost 3, year old who is 28 pounds, and a large for my 5 year old who is 43 lbs and 43" tall. Both have a little room to grow, but they're fitting enough that they stayed warm (the inside of these were much warmer wet than the outside when taken off after playing in the ocean for hours.) My 3 year old is the size of an average 4 year old (according to the doctor's charts). This suit fits fine with some room to grow. I think she'll outgrow it in about 6 months? The zipper is on the larger size and easy to pull up and down. There is a small square Velcro strap on the top to help secure the zipper. The suit is on thicker side, which is good because it helps keep my daughter warm in the water. It also seems to have a little bit of buoyancy when she's attempting to back float in swim class (so said the instructor). Being that we live in Hawaii, I would have thought there would be a lot of wetsuits available for kids, but turns out not. Thankfully, Amazon has a vast marketplace where I can read everyone's reviews on products before I make a purchase. I love this wetsuit and would really consider to buy a different size if my daughter continues to want to take swim lessons. ... show more

Bought 2X for my 5’3” 100lbs son. Fits good and has some room for him to grow. Should last the season but there is a definite difference between the “name brand” wetsuits and this off brand.
