I used it right away soon as I got it the same day and I absolutely love it. It definitely does work well. I left it in my hair for 1 hour and I only did one application. Feel free to follow the directions to your liking but that's what I did and I absolutely love the results I got. I got this black hair dye shampoo because I usually dye my hair with coffee but this black hair dye shampoo I try for the first time work so good easy to use and I got my hair beautiful jet black as you can see. I used it to dye my locs because I love jet black hair and I have been dying my hair black for as long as I can remember. My hair is like a dark brown kind of color but I've always dyed it jet black because I always loved that look. I definitely works as far as longevity goes we'll see I'll report back how it lasts later. But so far so good. I would say I don't know if it's because I left it in 10 minutes longer than the instruction said but I had a little bit of black dye residue on my dress as you can see in the picture I don't know if it would have did that anyway or if it was because I left it off for 10 minutes extra. But I would suggest everybody give it a try this was the easiest job I've ever done and it was fun and easy and it looks great I'm super happy with the results and I plan to buy again if it ends up lasting long

I think this product is great. I used dark brown for 20 min and it's very dark. I had medium brown/reddish hair before, for context. I did it to 24 hr unwashed hair like the internet recommended. I like it and did a better job covering greys than box hair dye did for me. I still washed my hair with shampoo and conditioned after even though it says not to. I was trying to lighten it up and it did a little but it's dark as you can see from pic. I like how it's not all chemicals that smell awful like harsh stuff. This shampoo dosent smell great but it's way better than regular box dye. I'm going to keep using but try a lighter brown next time. All around works great.

I was surprised at every turn. Color? Awesome, Coverage?All over, Bang for your buck? Absolutely! Cons- the plastic cap was awkward and it did stain my bowl but it came out with bleach. I love it and will purchase again.

I was very skeptic and I bought it while didn't believe it would work. The instructions are only on the box, nothing inside the box. When I read them and saw the included items, I noticed it is used exactly as a hairdye that lathers. But it doesn't stain the skin. I applied it per the instructions and instead of waiting 15 minutes, I waited 20 minutes before washing. It also had a smell of dye but not very strong like the dye smell. I have to mention that I have very few white hairs on the sides of my temple, so I do not know if it works just as well if you have a lot of white hair. But it is truly worth the try as it is very cheap. So, I applied it and followed the rest of the instructions. After washing and drying, I couldn't believe that I no longer have a single white hair and it did not dye my scalp nor my skin. Whatever came on my forehead, I wiped it and it was gone. Just be aware that it WILL stain your sink counter. The drops seeped through mine and I couldn't get it out. But it did not stain my shower or the inside of the sink. Now, two months later, and while I was washing my hair with regular shampoo all this time, the effect is still there. Only today, which is two months later, I noticed one white hair peeking through. So I'm going to give it another wash. I am thinking if one has a lot of white hair and if they were not successful covering it form first use, they could probably wash with it more often until they get full coverage. But that's my thought, double check on that to make sure about the acceptable frequency of use.

I have gone through a few brands of semi permanent color and this is the best, easiest application I've had. The color covers grays really well. Long lasting. I think I'll easily get 3+ applications from one bottle and my hair is 13+ inches. That within itself is a huge value. Highly recommend and I'll continue using this product.

This product works like a shampoo and that you just pump it out and just kinda mix it A little in your hand or in a little plate and just you can paint it on your hair or you can use a brush or one of those mascara to get the hair on the side or the front of the temples. It smells like ginseng a little bit. And it does smell is not that bad. After you put it on your hair for 30 minutes then wash it off vigorously under cool water and completely rinse it until the water is clear then I put a dime size conditioner on just the end of my hair I don’t use soap on the first day, after the second day, I do use A color shampoo. I have black hair with grays and I used the dark brown and it works for me. It doesn’t last that long. I think maybe one or two days since I’m not meticulous with my application. Pro tip: apply the hair color to the front of your hair first where you have the most grays so that it has more time to develop. Always test for allergy before you begin. I like that way I don’t have to mix the developer with the dye and I like that, it doesn’t have too much lingering bad scent.
