  • Flight Stand
On a budget, I purchased this for my Warthog HOTAS. For 100$, color me impressed! I would give them 10 stars if I could. TONS of extra hardware for mounting your controllers (I mean ludicrous amount of extra hardware). NO missing screws at all for the main frame assembly. Easy to assemble. Heavy and Beefy + enough adjustment to get the job done for the average bear. I have a low setting reclining chair and it will work good enough with this stand...I do have plans however. Dont get me wrong, this thing is great as is, but I tinker with crap and I dont have a normal PC chair (which was my intent from the onset). Planned MODS: 1. Add caster wheels, with brakes. 2. Add 4-5 Inches to the adjustable square tubing on the sides to widen things up even more to better suit my needs (I have wide pedals)... 3. Also, I prefer the stick between my legs (easy mod) as I don't need the keyboard in the center. Guys, if you like to tinker or customize things--boy oh boy, this is a great head start with out killing the wallet. I think the model I looked at that had the things I REALLY wanted, minus the seat was in the 350-500$ range. So ya, this is a good buy. 10 stars! Really +10 stars. ... show more

  • I would have paid full price for this.
Like the title says, full price. But I didn't have to so there's that. I love flight simming. I can't legally fly solo anymore due to medical concerns. This rig fit my Turtle Beach Flight Deck setup, and has a ton of mounting holes. Adjustability is great for the outboard flight controls. The center column for a steering wheel I guess, is getting removed; I keep hitting my knees on it and I just don't use it since I switched from yoke to side-stick. The rudder pedal mount is solid, and a bit of a pain to tighten, but I ain't complaining about that since flight sim controls cost a bit. My only gripes are that it does take up quite a bit of room under a desk, and it has some weight when it is fully assembled. And also that the bar to hold the chair wheel in place needs to be a bit easier to manage with that bar between your knees, flight controls beside you, and any other peripherals. Thing is made of solid materials, has really good directions in English, and has most of the tools you need to assemble it. Use your own though, the included tools are on the flimsy and hard to manage side if you have manual dexterity problems. Oh, yeah. If you are able to, setting it up separately helps manage protecting your investment. I have everything under a picnic table now, and can just extend the hand controls out from under the table using the chair holder part. There's pics with my review showing it setup and stowed under a side table from a previous setup experiment. Hope this helps, this rig is clunky, but super solid. ... show more

  • I thought I was scammed for a moment.
This feels like an experiment in letting A.I. create a product from start to finish. Alarm bells didn't start going off until I saw the hardware. It's two bag of assorted bolts and screws. The screws, in a smaller bag tucked in the bigger bag of hex bolts. Most things I've had to assemble like this are more organized. So when I looked at the accessories explanation page, I spotted the second red flag. It's just the dimensions of four different bolts, but no part count or mention of the screws. The next to pages are a front and back that only used the M8x20, M8x15, & M8 55(marked 45 on the explanation page only) bolts. At least that's according to the instructions. There was a typo that in the PCS(which I assumed meant piece count) of one of the knobs. This sent me into a spiral counting all my parts for ten minutes. The diagrams aren't entirely wrong but I didn't notice there were two more bored points in the throttle/ shifter stands. I didn't realize till half way through that the smaller bag of screws were ment to mount my controls. Because of the modularity, you do get options to find the arrangement that works for you. But quick tip: If you plan to mount a wheel & pedals, sticks, ect., mount them to their respective plates first before attaching the plates to the frame. Once everything was tightened up, it felt sturdy enough. I have a Thrustmaster T-GTII & pedals mounted. I use a Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas One. As of writing, I haven't tried mounting the sticks combined to the plate the wheel is currently on. But it rests on the side plates well enough for my needs. Be advised, you can't mount that specific model to the plates in a separated configuration. There isn't enough slack in the T Flight 1' Hotas to allow it. But that's on Thrustmaster. All in all, I like how minimalist the packaging was. But, the hardware could've been organized better. The instructions should clarify everything that came with the product. As well as how to fine tune the pivot and extension points of the frame to help you get closer to your desired setup. There's no contact information on the instructions for questions or replacement parts. For the price and form factor for my space, it works well. I mess around with a lot of DIY stuff, so I didn't have an issue with loosing a bolt or other hardware. Also included but not mentioned, 6x 3M pads to stick to the bottom of the frame and velcro straps for cable management. I was initially looking at a Next Level Racing chair that would work with their flight mount. But the overall price and form was unappealing. When I saw the thumbnail of this I definitely put it at the top of my list compared to other units and arrangements I've seen. So far the product feels good, and I have plenty of options if I need. Because of its construction, be patient. Some of the adjustables are secured by hex bolts instead of knobs. Turning the wheel feels fine. But it feels like the wheel stem of the frame could bend or break with enough forward or backwards pressure(None issues if you don't treat your controls like rowing oars). So a 3.5 star for now, because the 6 page instructions lacked better explanations and information. Simple enough to put together if you use the instructions as a visual guideline. I didn't clock the floor pads of straps right away. The majority of any questions you may have are listed in the description of the product on its Amazon page. I paid about $100 for this. Where NxtLvl would've cost me $50 to $200 more depending on the arrangement. The presentation is rough but the price and functionality are good for anyone who wants stability without going full sim. UPDATE: It's been two weeks since I put this together. I'm still finding ways to adjust it better for my uses. But once you I tightened everything everything up it felt fine. I think i may need to tighten the adjustment knobs occasionally, but other wise it holds. Because of the molecularity, I've already started plotting how to add to and altar the frame. The frame came with 6 adhesive foam pads. Which is great for the floors I have. But if the frame isn't pressed against the wall I'd need to put weights behind it. Still feel good about the purchase. ... show more
