Works, dries hard as a rock, very sandable. Easy work with but will start setting up quickly, have your work ready. Also keep the cover on the can when working on your project, leaving the can open will allow the rest inside to dry out. Solvent smell stays in the area for awhile but goes away quickly. The original wood filler I think will always be the best. I've tried the others and always seem to come back to this old original. Just remember to store the can upside down so the solvent stays mixed with the material. This is why they have the can printed like it is. You are supposed to store it with the cap on the bottom. ... show more

This product, plastic wood in the can, is oil based and just didn't work well because it needed to thinned out a bit. I called the company and the informed me to add some acetone before use. NOW it works great. SHOULD have said that on the can. By the way, the Plastic Wood that comes in the plastic tubs is WATED based. I used acetone with that too and it then worked great. SHOULD be in the instructions on the product. ... show more

When opened up there was a huge air bubble and the can was only half filled with product. Too much air in the can caused the reduced product to be too dry to work with and was unuseable to me.

Been using this product for over 30 years. I am a retired custom furniture maker and I like the quick drying time, ease of sanding and how it takes a stain. Can't find it in the stores anymore. But thankfully Amazon caries it.
