A quick drying sealer which provides an excellent base. This formula does not contain harmful petroleum solvents such as toluene and xylene. A lacquer-based clear sealer and finish that dries to a soft sheen. It is specially formulated to work with any Mylands finishing product or by itself. A brilliant high gloss finish can be achieved on turnings when used in conjunction with a high build friction polish or a rich matte finish when the waxes are used. This product does not contain shellac.

I saw this product on a YouTube video so I purchased some. I do a lot of wood turning and epoxy projects. Once my project is complete and ready for sanding sealer, I apply the sanding sealer with a lint-free cloth, let it soak in, let it dry, and then come back with either a really fine sandpaper or use denatured alcohol to remove the sanding sealer off the epoxied areas. I usually apply Ack's sanding paste and polish but there are some times were the sanding sealer alone looks amazingso I often leave it as is. Wear latex gloves as it does get sticky. ... show more

If you are a woodturner working in high-end gallery creations (or a relative beginner making pens) this product is essential and it works very well. You just need to understand that this finish has limits when it comes to finished object size and the ease of application. On a pen it is a no-brainer, essential and necessary. On a much larger piece the benefits remain, but the challenges of consistent application grow exponentially. ... show more
