I should have chose a white bright grout so decided to see if I could paint over the existing grout color with this bright white pen and it worked great (bottom part of the pic) ! I did 2 coats and put down a sealant (on the cheaper side of sealants) once after the paint had dried. And a year later, bathrooms, and kitchen are still looking fresh. I've had to touch up 4 spots in the kitchen due to heavy scrubbing on a spill. I've tired 4 different paint pins, and none have been as good as these. ... show more

It’s not amazing but it does the job! And I was impressed with how much these little pens contain. Used every last drop on our disgusting bathroom grout. Cleaned and scrubbed it first and let it dry. My kids loved helping. Nice it comes with a grout brush and extra tops for the pens. The white is pretty bright and you have to wipe off the excess or it will stay there forever. Bright white didn’t match my tiles but it is a vast improvement and I tried every type of cleaner before this, so I’m very happy to see clean grout again. Repainted the grout on tile bath counter.. worked exactly as directed. Painted, wiped off the tile immediately.. super easy...didn't need to tape, got it done in an hour. After scrubbing and trying countless cleaning products nothing seemed to work in getting this old grout in my bathroom sparkling! Finally I decided to try this set of grout pens after reading multiple reviews stating how other grout pen nubs wore out really easily. Cool thing is this comes with some that you can swap out! The pen lasts long, and to save on buying new nubs I flipped the ones in the pen around. I managed to get my entire shower done with just this set and it’s been over a month and the grout is still nice and white! I highly suggest giving these pens a shot! I used this to paint the grout in my kitchen, the end-effect looks great, and the paint stays on well despite heavy wear It is a little messy to use, the pen tips get mushed down if you push too hard, so be gentle! And if you get streaks off paint anywhere you don't want them, you need to wipe them clean ASAP with water or it'll stain. But once it's on its great! ... show more

I never liked the dark grout in this bathroom. I read the reviews for this product before ordering. Be careful getting it on the actual tile. I made sure to wipe it off the tile quickly. The pen tip was was easy to replace with extras in the package.
