    • Perfect spillway and biological filter for a small pond.
The media could not be loaded. This spillway with biological balls to support healthy bacteria growth is perfect for a small pond. Those that complained about it leaking did not use a hose clamp to secure the hose from the pump to the spillway. I purchased a hose clamp at Lowe’s for a couple dollars. Our pond is small (125 gallons) so we are using a small 900 gallons per minute pump with this spillway. I have aquariums and am knowledgeable of how filtration works so I also decided to use an aquarium filter cartridge with carbon inside across the front of the box to help clarify the water. The water enters the bottom of the box, travels through the biological balls, then through the filter cartridge. The media could not be loaded. Waterfall iWork’s well for my little pond. I like it. It seems very sturdy.

The spout extends too far from the basin, it leaks even with both washer seals. Do not recommend this product!

    • Connection is flimsy and leaks!
This item is not worth the aggravation it caused me and I still am having problems with it! The connection system it comes with is unnecessarily complicated with many places for leaks to occur. Silicone tape and tightening with a wrench still did not totally solve the problem, so I had to rig up a system to catch the drips underneath it so my pond doesn't lose all its water! Time spend fiddling around with this poorly made filter was ridiculous. Also, the bioballs that it came with and sponge do not even properly fit inside of it. When it got warm enough to work in the pond, I discovered the problems related to it, and now am 2 days late to qualify for a full refund ( I got it in February 2011 and it expired March 18!! I also did not know about this short refund policy!) Save your time and trouble and go with a higher end model! ... show more

    • A good purchase at a goog price
The media could not be loaded. Wirh a good pump this difuses the water very well. Its a single piece body with a inlet. I placed liner under mine that runs into the pond. Doing it that way will minimize draining while pond is not attended
