This is a good country music 🎶🎼 series with a lot of drama ‼️ the only problem with this series is doesn't have season 6 in a region for playback for the USA DVD player. So you have to have a multiple regions DVD player to watch entire series.

    • All it takes is a region free Blu-Ray Player
I was put off by the fact that the DVD set isn't for the US region, but after thinking about how disks haven't been playing so well on my aging player, I decided it's time to get a region-free Blu-Ray Player and never be concerned about Regions or video formats again. In fact, I think PAL has a more cinematic frame rate than NTSC and I am eager to watch Nashville again and always have it to watch after it's gone from streaming. The tag line one the DVD packaging doesn't do the show justice in my opinion because the term, "Soap," sets the bar far too low. No matter what "audiences," want to see, I got hooked by the story right away. The story felt feels 3-dimensional with character development brought to life by terrific top flight talent. The appeal of great drama has been with us since the days of the age of classic Greek Drama because that timeless appeal tells us so much about who we are. There seems to be a well established ability to produce of drama that I finds consistently stands out at ABC studios and this is another production. And lastly the inclusion of so much original music and collaboration with Nashville songwriters brings the art and life aspects so close together I thought it was impossible to differentiate between how art affects life and vice versa. It's really made me wonder how much a series like this affects life, but I seem to be seeing more signs of diversity in country music. recently. I can't help but wonder if this series didn't play a role in opening the door to that, not out of political correctness, which pretty much always sucks, but in the way it created a world that shined a light in a direction that made us feel like we wanted more of that. ... show more

    • Problem with them playing.
When I finally got around to watching , they would not even play on my brand new DVD player. Something about it does not support the color or something. I am going to try on my old player and I’m really hoping that they work.

I loved this series such a wide variety of good talent across the board Loved the story and all the life’s it shared Really hated to see it end was quite sad to say goodbye to everyone Big Big Congrats to All of the cast and crew who made this series such a gem! I did not understand this when I purchased it. It will not run in a normal dvd player. Only UK, and you have to pay return shipping which costs almost the whole price of the dvd.

    • Missing discs and episodes
As I am watching all six seasons, I have discovered there are missing episodes and one full disc at the end of season four. Being that the series was streamed, there is no way to know how many discs are in each season when purchasing dvd media. This is quite a disappointment because time has past since purchasing and it is unlikely a replacement is possible. It isn't reasonable to presume anyone can mass watch six seasons within the return window. There are no options to get the series elsewhere. I did not realize this item would not play on US DVD players. I bought it for my daughter's birthday and just gave it to her. It is past the 30 day return time, so everyone is disappointed.
