  • My son has not put this down since his birthday and built his airplane completely on his own.
I bought this for my eight year old who is always following his dad around the garage wanting to help with projects, and this was the perfect way to give him his own real building experience. The station is sturdy and well thought out and having the jigsaw, drill and sander all in one setup means he is not constantly asking to borrow actual tools he is not ready for yet. The fingerShield on the jigsaw blade and the motor lock gave me real peace of mind as a parent while still letting him feel like he was doing genuine work rather than playing with a toy. He followed the illustrated manual mostly on his own with just a little guidance from me on the first few steps and finished the wooden airplane in one afternoon. The look on his face when he held up something he built himself from a flat piece of wood was worth every penny. The safety glasses included are a nice touch and he insists on wearing them every single time which has become a good habit. The wood pieces included are quality and cut cleanly without splintering. We have already looked up more project ideas because he is not even close to done with this thing. If you have a kid who loves building and making things with their hands this is one of the best gifts you can give them. ... show more

  • I love it gives me a sense of peace and safety when I use it.
I'm not a kid but I got this because I wanted something safe and affordable to start out with. I like making and creating things. I own a 3D pen so I look forward to combining this with the creations of my 3D art together. I like this as a start out as well because I never used anything like this before and I get easily scared of things that can cause accidental harm from machinery and blades. So this is perfect to start out with I like the quality and the durability this provides it is age appropriate and has given me a lot of fun! I like the materials it was provided with as well and it's size is very adorable. I like it not too scary.😅 ... show more

  • Great Concept But Could Definitely Use Some Improvements
I really liked the idea behind this 3-in-1 woodworking station and had high hopes for it. My daughter is always asking my husband to build things for her, so I thought this would be a fun way for them to spend time together while she learned some basic woodworking skills. The concept is great in theory. The station includes three different tools — a drill press, jigsaw, and sander — which makes it feel like a mini workshop. It also comes with small wood pieces to practice on and an instruction booklet that includes two beginner projects. I appreciated that it tried to provide everything you need to get started. Unfortunately, the practicality just isn’t really there. The saw blade is very flimsy and dull, which makes it difficult to cut through the wood properly. Because of that, it can actually become a bit dangerous for little hands that aren’t experienced using these types of tools. If the blade struggles to cut, kids may try to push harder, which isn’t ideal when working with tools. Another downside is the very limited workspace. The station is quite small, so there isn’t much room to comfortably work on the wood pieces. It ends up feeling cramped, especially when trying to guide a child through a project. Overall, I love the idea of a kid-friendly woodworking station and the opportunity for parents and kids to build things together. However, the quality of the tools and the limited workspace make it harder to use safely and effectively than I expected. It’s a nice concept, but it could definitely use some improvements to make it more practical and beginner-friendly. ... show more

  • Good for many ages! Neat wood working set up!!
I saw this and was intrigued! I’ve always wanted to do wood cutting and such, so I got this to learn some simple basics. However, it is cool for school aged kiddos. The blades and such are real and can cut kiddos so this should be used under supervision if they’re young. It’s pretty neat set to play with! It has different areas like a cutter, sander, and drill. It comes with thin wood to cut and instructions on how to build different things. It should be easy for kiddos to learn how to use, it seems like it’s made decently well, and while the drill and jigsaw aren’t super sharp they are real!! I would have loved something like this as a kiddo! It’s a neat wood cutting station and will make an awesome gift idea! ... show more

  • "Kit for Boys". Blatant sexism.
"Kit for Boys". Blatant sexism. Lots of girls and women are woodworkers too. Its sad that in 2026, we're still seeing a sexist approach to marketing construction toys.

  • Good for Kids who want to use their hands to make something
This woodworking station is a real working machine. The tools it comes with could actually cut a kid so you will need to teach responsibility and supervise. It is a really fun starter kit for those kids though. It comes with some starter wood and instructions to make a couple of things which is nice. The tools themselves are decent, though duller than real tools so that the kids are less at risk of cutting themselves. This does make it harder to use though as you have to push a little harder and it's not exactly cutting where you are trying. It is doable though and fun. The tool itself is mostly plastic but durable and decently put together. It's a good price for what you are getting... Outside of the house fun. I would recommend for those kids looking to build something with their hands. ... show more
