Solid set of gate wheels. These aren’t just plastic knock-offs—they’re fully metal, spring-loaded, and built to roll over uneven ground without issue. I used these on a medium-weight metal gate that had started to sag, and now it glides like a dream. The spring compression really does compensate for ground shifts, especially with frost or gravel dips. They’re slightly smaller than the 8" version (which I also tested), but that’s not a downside if you’re not dealing with huge gates. These are plenty strong, each rated at 500 lbs, and the steel mounting plate is thick and sturdy. The brake feature holds nicely, though not something you'd use constantly unless you're on a slope. Installation was quick—no drilling required, just bolted right on with the Grade-8 U-bolts included. It took me about 20 minutes with basic tools. If I had one gripe: for the size and capacity, the price is pushing the upper end. But if you’ve got a gate that drags or twists, this is cheaper and easier than rehanging or rebuilding it. Bottom line: Great for mid-sized metal or wood gates. Solid construction, smooth swivel, and the brake adds safety. these oversized wheels are super sturdy, easy to install, and great for fences. the springs give the wheels great flexibility in adapting to the variations in the driveway, which really helps keeping the tension off the hinges. these are especially nice if you're going to be pairing it up with gate operators, really helps the whole system function better by providing a smooth roll. the price is higher than just normal rollers, but a really great option if you have larger gates that need the additional support. ... show more

Man oh man are these gate wheels heavy duty and well-made. I bought these for a movable gate for our side driveway and couldn’t be happier with the quality and how well they move across the ground when we are opening and closing the gate. I think these will last for many years.
