Used in a closet. The scent is very strong at first, which I don't like. It quickly dissipated after the water was drawn in. Worked well in a humid closet.

We have a coastal home, v humid but I am happy to have those kind of problems. I have these in every bedroom, office, closet. I have a larger one in the laundry room. They fill up and do their job. I empty and refill them, after a few refills, I toss the container, bc I worry that they age and will start to smell or leak over time. These definitely cut down on that musty smell that comes with humidity. It makes the air more pleasant and fresher. I’ve found that these small canisters work better than the fabric topped ones, the vents are open and the exchange of air is a lot freer and allows for ventilation. The larger fabric topped canisters don’t seem as effective unless I pop a few holes in the fabric with a craft knife. I’ve also noticed black stuff in the fabric topped ones, I’m pretty sure it’s mold so that’s not good. Not good at all. I wish the plastic was recyclable. That is my only gripe. Cost is good in bulk here. I’ll keep using these. ... show more

An awesome product to place in linen cupboards or closets during the hot and sticky summer months. I have found this product very useful and it works very well. The dehumidifier works very well for open areas, but these are great for closed areas. They will last as long as humidity levels allow, so do check on them. I find the cupboards smell less musty when opening them. I turned to this product when I opened the passage closet and found that the jackets hanging in there had mold on them. Since using this product I have not had to throw away clothing that has molded. For the price, these are definitely great value for money. ... show more

This is AWESOME! I bought this for a basement that holds humidity even with dehumidifiers going. We had a pipe leaking and after cleaning up the water it smelled horrible. We used ClO2 gas to gas the area and disinfect it and to kill the mold and spores. But despite the disinfection it still kept smelling musky. Must be some spores still down there and needs another disinfection. Meanwhile, I put three of these down there for about 1200 sq feet spread out and it smells SO much better.
