Ordered this: Damascus Chef Knife - Haugo 8 Inch Kitchen Knife - to give away as a christmas or birthday present eventually but did use it in order to write this review. First thing I noticed is that it does not look anything like the listing pictures. I say picture generously because they are obviously not images of the product but generated by some other means. The pattern on the knife is much less pronounced but in line with other Damascus knives I've owned. The presentation is nice with the knife coming in a quality box with extras that do make it gift worthy. The handle feels good and the metal is machined well, a common criticism I have is that the handle inlays and metal seams can be felt when used. The handle is comfortable. The knife is sharp and cuts well due to the thickness of the blade, it is not overly thick so it slices very well. Nice knife for under $40. Took a star away for the generated images, that does get frustrating.

Wow talk about slicing through butter! I really like the weight to this knife where I’m not putting all the weight into my wrist but instead letting the knife do the actual work. It’s a full blade which means the blade actually goes into the handle and it won’t break off like other knives. Very well made - just wish the design was more visible. Otherwise, this is just perfect
