The media could not be loaded. ITEM: DALLYOUGU Heavy Duty Floating Tool Organizer Wall Mounted Storage Rack PRICE: $44 at the time of this review QUICK TAKE ON THE RACK….. When I purchased my most recent set of cordless tools, they came in a soft carrying bag. And that’s OK when I have to grab the essentials and put them into my vehicle for work away from my shop. But when I’m in my shop, and over the years, I’ve tried to organize my stationary tools, corded and cordless hand tools, fastener and hardware items and work areas. I hadn’t thought about making a ‘rack’ for my cordless tools. Typically I use shelving. But evidently someone thought this through, and realized that a ‘grab and go’ design was appropriate for someone like me, who does a lot of quick fabrication work with metal and wood. So I was lucky enough to bring the Dallyougu tool organizer in for review. On its own it’s a good item. But frankly, and I’ll bet for many others, it’s not big enough. Given that, I could see this item coming in a 2, 3 or 4-pak. But I’d not buy it at the current price. In my humble opinion, and with volume, I could see the unit price starting at around $20 for one, and dropping as low as $14 to $16 each in quantities. ABOUT ASSEMBLY….. Assembly is almost intuitive. I say almost because I reversed the top shelf, putting the screwdriver holes at the front of the rack, not along the backside. I had to look at the vendor page because I didn’t find any instructions in the plain box into which the rack was packaged. But given that the rack only has four acorn nuts for each of the shelves, it wasn’t a big deal. They even give you a small flat-wrench to tighten the nuts. ABOUT INSTALLATION….. I found a ‘wall-type’ space just above the cart that carries all of my fastener and drilling accessories. I was able to use the backside of my metal storage cabinets as the ‘wall’ to which I attached the rack. And I used just two self-drilling hex-screws, going through the two mounting holes on the top-backside of the rack. You can see from my video how I organized the more essential, daily-use tools. Just next to that cart is my portable arc-welding cart, with cutoff saw. And now that I’ve seen this rack, I’m thinking I’ll grab some I” square tubing and make another similar rack for some of my corded tools, which I’ve been keeping in nearby cabinets. SUMMARY….. I definitely like the storage rack. But as a ‘weekend’ welder with my arc and oxy-acetylene welder, I know just how inexpensive the materials are and how much time I’d need to either arc or braze together a similar but larger rack. Bottom line, I feel the rack is priced at about twice what I feel it’s worth. If it weren’t for the current price, I’d definitely give this item 5 stars. But at its current price, I can’t recommend it without questioning the overall value. ... show more

I didn't purchase this to hold my cordless drills, as I only have a single drill, and it already has a good spot on my workbench. But I got this little shelf to hold my extension cords, and they fit pretty well. I haven't decided what to put on the two shelves yet, but this shelf fit perfectly in the area I have. However, there are a couple things that prevented me from giving five stars. First, there are absolutely no directions whatsoever. I had to pull up the pics on Amazon in order to assemble it, but not too difficult to figure out. Next, although the finished product is sturdy, I was concerned about the nuts stripping during assembly, as they have a cheap feel to them, so I had to make extra sure the nuts were threaded on properly. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, the threaded posts were not straight. I would recommend keep all the nuts on loose until everything is assembled, then tighten everything at the end. Other than that, it's a nice little shelf unit that I think is going to work quite well. ... show more

As you can see in the photos, this tool rack holds 3 of my DeWalt cordless power tools. It has a slot for a fourth but the circular saw is too big. The tools hang from the batteries, and they fit in the slots, but the 100Wh battery (leftmost in the picture) just barely fits under the shelf. The circular saw was also a tight fit, but works. It's a nice way to organize my power tools, and it has slots for organizing screwdrivers on the top, or just use the two shelves for whatever. Easy to assemble, but no instructions were included. Pretty self explanatory if you look at the product photos. I'm satisfied with the sturdiness and the design, only wish it were a touch larger. ... show more

its metal, not as bulky as wood... it holds your power tools so they are easy accessible the unit is nicely finished in black, no cracks or blotches.. easy to assemble, easy to install... the product works as advertised, but you may need many of them considering how many tools we all have! recommended... ... show more

I started running out of space on my garage workbench, and even though this storage rack is very small, it has given me back a significant amount of working space. This was simple and easy to assemble, and it easily holds the weight of my cordless drills.

It was very easy to assemble, despite not having any instructions. I just looked at the pictures in the description. It seems like it will be sturdy, it's strong metal. I will post a picture when I hang it.

Very easy to assemble, comes with a small wrench. Drills fit well. Some larger ones stay in, but barely. I decided to mount the organizer on a wood frame to create a bit larger offset from the wall.
