  • Great wheelchair for inside your home!
Style: Standard
My wife broke her ankle during our vacation in Costa Rica. Fortunately, we found an excellent surgeon - and everything went well. After we returned, however, maneuvering around the house with a heavy boot - and "no pressure" on one leg was a big challenge! Regular wheelchairs don't fit through standard residential doorways. So I searched for a solution online - and fortunately found your Flux Slimline Daily Living product. I picked it up yesterday and my wife loves it! The Flux Slimline fits easily through all of our doorways, and is easy and stable to get in and out of. A photo is attached. I have a technical background and was concerned about the design and quality of the Flux Slimline - based on some of the reviews on Amazon's site. Now that I have seen the Flux Slimline first hand, I know it is well made: > The frame, adjustable seat mount and brake fittings are well designed, with quality materials. The welds, paint and finish are excellent. > The Flux Slimline is light and maneuvers easily on wood floors and carpets. > The brakes are solid and effective. > Even though the Flux is narrower than a standard wheelchair, the innovative design allows the seat and backrest to be fairly wide. I am 5' 10", 200 lbs, and the Flux Slimline fit me just as well as my 5' 2" wife; and the adjustable seat is comfortable. > The Flux looks sharp too - without the 'hospital' appearance of a standard wheelchair. In short, if you need a wheelchair inside your home for a person of average size, this is a great solution. Highly recommended. Mark Hays ... show more

  • Very good unique priduct/cornered market
Style: Standard
This home wheelchair does exactly what it's meant to do. I am newly a bilateral amputee (both legs are gone above knee) and our home has some slightly narrow spaces that doesn't accommodate a standard size wheelchair. For example our bathroom doorways are not a standard size doorway, about 23" width. It has been extremely difficult for me to access these areas of our home. I got this chair today and was able to assemble it myself without aggravating my staples in the surgical site from my recent leg amputation too much. Even with my severe physical impairment,I was able to assemble the chair in about 20 minutes. They include 2 Allen wrenches and this tiny thin wrench for tightening the wheel nut. Throw that away and grab pliers or ANY other adjustable wrench. This product is very good and if you are in a position like me, it is worth the money. Even in the hour I've had it, it has saved me a considerable amount of time and pain. The negative are this. This company has this market cornered. There are no other companies that sell a product like this. So, even though this product is good and I'm glad we have it. It is made well and all of the pieces are good. This is just an office chair with wheelchair wheels and a more fitting price would be $300-$400, so it's over priced. Like my title says, they have the market cornered and can charge whatever they want. The conclusion is this. It is a great product and would absolutely be beneficial for someone with physical disability wanting to get around their home easier. Even though it is more expensive than it should be if there was other companies competing with a similar product, buy it. It absolutely will allow you to access places that a standard wheelchair will not allow you to go. (Update) I've had this chair for a few months now and It's just not worth the price. The screws that hold the wheel lock in place consistently come loose. For the money we spent on the chair it should be made from much better hardware and materials. It is convenient and enables me to get into our bathrooms which have narrow doorways. But, its price point does not match the quality. It is cheaply made unfortunately. I have updated this a couple times. This product is horrible for the price. Less than a year after purchase the back support snapped, I cannot put my weight on it anymore. The worst part was yesterday, it said it supports 250 pounds. Well, I was transferring from my recliner to the wheelchair and out about half my weight as I was moving, the metal arm support snapped completely off! I do not have legs and this caused me to face plant onto the hardwood floor and now have severe shoulder pain. I have not been able to go to work the past 2 days. I’m contacting an attorney for false advertising and whatever comes of my doctors visit that I have to have because of this garbage wheelchair. I would buy a different one, but I’m a single disabled father, so really cannot afford it. Save yourself a lot of trouble. Do not buy this product. ... show more

  • So good!!
Style: Standard
I usually don't write reviews here, but this product deserves one. My husband is right leg below knee amputee, with healthy left leg (just so you know who the user of the chair is) Pros: 1. Super cute small chair to be used from bed to the office, closet or kitchen 2. This is an office chair on the wheels. 3. Firm seat and good lumbar support 4. Super easy to put together, like 45 seconds 5. It's not visually invasive like the regular chair, it looks like a piece of furniture vs. bulldozer in your house. 6. Maybe the best thing about this chair is that you only need the foundation and the wheels. The top part is on the gas cylinder, so you can put any office chair on top of it (this is still to be tested) 7. The customer service 10 stars. Cons: 1. I don't like the material used for the frame of this chair, it is a simple iron bar painted in black and gray. I understand the cost and all that, but maybe to be offered in some other colors. I believe the paint is the same price, so why not make it nice vs. ugly. I'll paint mine in Ferrari red. 2. As people mentioned the brakes are kinda hard to reach, but I believe they were placed in such a way to keep the chair as narrow as possible. 3. The brake and cylinder “hand” are kinda to close unless the cylinder is fully released and the chair is high as it can go then it’s fine . Conclusion: Great idea and we are happy to use this chair in years to come. There are many details to be improved (like Ferrari red) 😊 . Overall I rate this product 4.5 stars. ... show more
