  • Great! Only issue.. carpet if no upper body strength
Style: w/ Footplates, Handrings & Push Handles
I have an older home with narrow doorways and this is the only wheelchair that I could find that would fit. Other reviews talk about it being hard to operate on carpet. I agree. The smaller wheels do make it harder. If you have limited upper body strength you might want to reconsider it. It is small and lightweight and makes tight circles compared to other wheelchairs. I love it! ... show more

  • Not Worth The Price
Style: w/ Footplates, Handrings & Push Handles
This is a very expensive wheelchair and so far it is not worth the money. The “extra-large” 20” rear wheels are 4” smaller than the standard 24” wheels on most manual chairs. This means that with the seat at it’s highest position reaching the handrings isn’t easy, and I’m 5’ 10”. The seat is padded but with the tilt lock in place and the tilt tension as firm as possible it’s unstable. It moves front to back and side to side. The foot rests are tilted with the front above the back. This places feet an an uncomfortable angle. Unless on a perfectly smooth surface the left wheel slips, like a car wheel in snow. You have to shift weight onto the wheel to gain traction. Most important of all the chair is dangerous. If you reach down to pick something up the the back wheels come completely off the ground. The only thing that keeps the chair from pitching completely forward are the foot rests. Abnsent these I would have landed on my face. Don’t buy this wheelchair. ... show more

  • Comfortable Ergonomics but Not Very Sturdy
Style: w/ Footplates, Handrings & Push Handles
I really like the office chair style ergos of this wheelchair. I don't know why more companies aren't doing this. I also like the fact that the chair is narrow to fit in narrow doorways. However, the chair is also small in length and height, with smaller than normal wheels. The chair is not very sturdy either. I wouldn't want anyone over 120 pounds to use this chair. The main wheel tires are made of plastic and not the usual rubber. The footrests don't latch in place because the alignment is off. Also, they get in the way of the wheel brakes when off to the side. The push bar behind the chair is also plastic and would not be strong enough to tilt the chair onto the back wheels if anyone is sitting in the chair. Overall, this wheelchair is definitely not worth the $1200 price. It would be fine at closer to $400 for the complete package. Luckily, my mother is only 110 pounds and would really benefit from the nice ergos due to her sore back. We will give the chair a try and see how it works for her. ... show more

  • Cheap junk
Style: w/ Footplates, Handrings & Push Handles
I bought this chair to go through a narrow doorway. At 200 pounds, I weigh far less than it says it can support. But as soon as I sat in it, it went back and back and back until I heard a huge crack. Now, every time I sit in it, I’ll flip over backwards. It’s like they made this thing from particleboard. ... show more

  • Life saver!

This chair is helping my parents get through the covid crisis more independently than they could without it. It is perfect for inside their house. Thank you!

  • Not as sturdy as it looks.
Style: w/ Footplates, Handrings & Push Handles
It fits through every door in my mobile home. I measured every doorway before making any purchase. My husband is 6ft4 and weighs about 200lb. The frame is made of steel, and the office seat arrangement is heavy duty, but the wheels are plastic and bolted onto the frame. The brakes work to hold the wheels, but I have vinyl flooring and the chair slides across it easily even with the locks engaged. This chair is fine for a smallish person of moderate weight. With my husband, it flexes quite a bit and now something is rubbing. I hope it is not one of the wheel bearings. I will not be using this to transport him outdoors, and I cannot trust the chair to stay put when transferring from chair to recliner and back. We use the walker to support his weight while I hold onto the chair. Hope this helps. ... show more
