I have used this hinge set on two light aluminum pool gates around our pool. I had issues with the same regular duty hinge from D&D not being powerful enough to overcome the drag of the grass if the grass gets a bit long between cuts, but this heavy duty hinge solves that problem. Very easy to install with sturdy self-tapping screws. If I was doing it over again I would have used these heavy duty hinges on all of our gates despite the fact that they are basically twice the price. Very good product. ... show more

These hinges were a breeze to install. They come with metal perforating screws, which makes it that much easier to install! The spring is strong enough to give the gates a good sharp close, but still easy to open (for a person).
