  • They Just Sound Good...
Size: Medium-Soft
I've used various reeds over the 30+ years of being a professional sax player. However, I seem to always come back to using LaVoz, for while they may not be the "latest & greatest", customized reeds, they've worked for me. Like David Sanborn, I too, believe that these reeds have "heart" and help to make the music "sing"... I know, pretty unscientific descriptions, but that's music, if you could aptly put it in words, it would be poetry instead... I recommend all players find what works for them, and not worry what anyone else may say is "the best", for in music making, it's so individual & unique an experience, that no one will know what's best for you, than you. I like La Voz, so I use them... ... show more

  • I'm back to my first love... LaVoz
Size: Medium
I used LaVoz reeds in high school and college, but after college, I stopped playing for 15 years. I was reminded about LaVoz while surfing the internet, and decided that I needed to go back to the reeds that I used to be so happy with. I am happy that I did!

  • Good, but soft
Size: Medium
These have a more nasal, somewhat bright tone but are flexible and responsive. The hardness measurement seems off, though. These are very light for a “medium”. They felt lighter than most other 2.5 reeds. The cane quality is good, though. I’ll probably try a harder box.

  • 2 reeds already used
Size: Medium-Soft
Damn, cmon Rico. These are my favorite reeds, but this recent order had two that were used. They were taped on the back and clearly used, a lot. Like not just tested, but played for several hours. Unbelievable.
