  • For this price point - CANNOT be beat - must-buy for someone on a budget.
I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the means. If you are looking for the GOAT of speaker systems, perhaps you should not be shopping on amazon for one. HOWEVER, if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, look no further! These speakers are not only top tier for their price point, but i would go as far as saying I feel like I have committed a crime for getting them for this price! (At the time of this writing, I paid $49.99) Aesthetics: I rate this 4.9 out of 5. These speakers are SLEEK. They are made from a plexi/plastic that has a glass-like finish (Sorta feels like the back of an Iphone 10). The two speakers and Subwoofer both have some weight to them, and seem fairly solid considering the price. They are also equipped with color-changing LEDs. This was one of my main draws to them to be honest. Each Speaker also has 2'' drivers that are exposed. For the sake of this section, it definitely adds to the appearance. The Thin profile of the speakers adds and accent piece to the desktop/shelf you have them on, while not taking up a lot of space. The subwoofer is rather large. This only adds to the look, granted you have the space to tuck it away. The LEDs have 7 different color options, and are bright enough to add a nice glow to the space even with the lights on/in day light. In a darker setting, it creates and very nice vibe to the space. Pros: Sleek black design. Color changing LEDs w/ 7 different options (Or none if you prefer no color) Slim speaker design with some weight behind them. Cons: The lights do not beat to the music - the color changing option has one speed in which it cycles through the colors. The speakers do have wires, so wire management is a must if using them spread apart. Sound: The sound quality on these bad boys are INSANE for the price point. Certainly, they do not offer concert-level sound. However, unless you plan on hosting a underground wave, these should fit the needs of most spaces. I personally purchased these after creating an office/gaming space in a spare room. Having the two speakers on either side of the desk with the Subwoofer underneath is MORE than enough power for my needs. The speakers has three dials to adjust sound: Master volume, Treble and Bass. Unlike other speakers where these controls seem to not impact the audio quality, these speakers are different. They create quite the difference when adjusted. The 2.1 surround is also noticeable and enjoyable. The "surround sound" functionality certainly is enjoyable, granted the subwoofer/speaker placement is done correctly. When at full volume, the base can be heard both outside my house and from 3 floors down! Utilizing these speakers at full volume is more than enough to bring the promise of hearing loss later in life. (Side note: if you intend to buy these speakers for a child, consider your trust and faith that they will listen and respect local sound ordinances. These speakers do NOT have a dial to control teenage angst) The base tones and middles have a rich and warm tone, with the treble keeping up pretty well! (Note, high-end sound can get garbled when maxing out the volume). The subwoofer also will solely output base tracks on properly mixed audio, so the subwoofer will need to be on to some degree, otherwise you run the risk of part of the audio being missed. This is particularly noticeable when playing a shooter game or listening to lowfi hiphop beats to study and relax to. Overall, this sound system keeps up with the $400+ sound system my parents currently have from Bose (purchased 10 years in the past). I promise you - for this price point, there IS not better on Amazon. Perhaps you could get lucky dealing directly with a company or find one used. However, unless you are SUPER series about sound quality, I believe these will do JUST fine. Pros: Insanely awesome Bass. Great Middle tones. Adjustable levels Surround sounds Cons: Trebble can be lost/drowned out at highest settings Speaker placement is limited - speakers are wired and attached to subwoofer Side effects of bass include: Upset spouse, headache, rattling floors, random bouts of noise complaints. The other odds and ends: Beyond sound and looks, this leaves only a few other items to comment on. As previously mentioned, the speakers ARE wired. Because of this, spacing/layout is limited to the length of the wire. Each wire is 5ft long, plus the size of the subwoofer - total wing span of 11ft. This seems like alot, until you try to find the perfect placement of all three items. I ended up placing the speakers on my desktop and subwoofer underneath. The wires were awkwardly hanging all over the place, but with about 5 bread-ties, I was able to clean it up nicely. Also, the speakers do have a delicate pin-system input. I am not sure the name of the top of my head, but the pins bend easily. They need to be perfectly aligned in order to plug in. The slightest damage and I can see the speaker failing completely, as it is hardwired into the back. The unit has two styles of output - two speaker outputs (Right and Left) and an aux port. The input options are Red/white audio cables or bluetooth. However, it does come with a red/white -to-aux converter, so this is not too much of a problem. I have my computer plugged in to the port, and my smart speaker (Google home AND Alexa) hooked up via bluetooth. As a side note, it cannot play via bluetooth AND hardwire at the same time - toggling between this options is done via a button on the side. TL:DR - For $50, this is the best of the best. Yeah, there is something to say from anyone serious about audio/sound. HOWEVER, this is god tier for the price point. If you are on the fence about buying - unless you want to drop another $30-$50, this is the best. I intend to buy these as gift this coming holiday season. Also, they look absolutely gorgeous with the lights. 10/10, would buy again. ... show more

  • Not what I hoped for...but what you should expect for the price.
With the decent ratings and reviews from multiple sources, I was a bit more hopeful than I should have been, but they're really what you should expect for around $50, and probably your best option at that price point if you want Bluetooth. The sound is just too disappointing for me personally as the midrange is really lacking - not surprisingly. I was hoping they'd surprise me and I could get away with a budget Bluetooth 2.1 system for only about $50 for my small home office to run off my Macbook Pro. But I will be sending them back and waiting to spend more on something with better overall sound. These may work fine for some people (non audiophiles, though I'm not one either) who aren't expecting super quality sound as they're low end but really not junk either. But I want better quality sound than they can give and now know I have to be willing to pay more for it. These were replacing an ancient Aiwa CX-NMA545 stereo system. Yeah, you read that right. Those old bad boys finally kicked the bucket and it was time to replace them. But frankly, that ancient system just flat out had better sound than this CA-SP34BT. But I digress. Let me back up and do a more thorough overall review. Everything worked out of the box, and was easy to setup. Bluetooth worked fine right off the bat and chimes to let you know when you connect or disconnect, with a flashing blue light to tell you it's ready to pair. The LED lights work but I don't give a rip about that gimmick and honestly wouldn't care if they hadn't worked as some have complained about. It's important to note that the cords for the desktop satellites are definitely short and you'll need to have the subwoofer right next to or under your desk. Beware of that because this system's physical setup simply won't work for some people who need more length. Controls: There's no control pod as you can expect with most bluetooth system at this range, but I was willing to deal with the volume, treble, and bass controls all being on the subwoofer in order to have Bluetooth in this price range. So if you want all the controls at your fingertips, don't get this system. But it is at least helpful that all but the main power switch is in one location on the side of the subwoofer. Power switch is on back. Speaking of the subwoofer, it's decent for this price point, but won't wow you. If you turn it all the way up, it does have some punch and doesn't get too muddy until you crank it past 3/4 dial, of course. But it seems to be missing the high range of the bass, while it does ok with deeper bass. I like the high end of bass range, so this is disappointing. Still, it's really not bad considering. I cranked up an old Sunscreem song, "Perfect Motion," to test the bass and it handled that deep bass surprisingly well with noticeable punch on the floor. Now for the main sound review. The high range vocals are decent though they are a bit muffled or laid back. Definitely not crystal clear. Still, they are the strong point of the system really. So if you're looking for vocals, these are fine at this price point, but don't expect crystal clear. Another important note is that there is a treble control, which many of the 2.1 systems at this price point don't have. It does allow you to dial in a bit without an equalizer, but it's not going to make up for the overall lack of ability the small speakers have. Again, please note that if you're looking for midrange, keep looking and prepare to spend at least twice what these cost. I was really hoping for more as several reviews said they're decent, but I was disappointed. They're cheap, and you're getting what you're paying for. They really don't do well with rock and end up sounding a bit hollow and just don't have a full sound. You really feel the mids and high end of bass missing here. Acoustic and piano is actually decent though, while most pop is lacking. But some songs are mixed in a way that they sound ok and powerful, while others are just really hollow and tinny. Soundtracks and classical are hit or miss. Another thing to note is that there seems to be a faint almost static like sound in the background, especially if the treble and volume is up too high. Again, expected. But on some songs even at a reasonable level, it's quite noticeable. Overall volume is plenty strong enough for a small room such as a bedroom or small office. So again, my overall summary is that they're what you should expect at this price point. Not a bad option with reasonable value if you're on a tight budget like I was. The bluetooth is nice if you're not an audiophile and just looking for average sound at best. Then these will suffice. But if you're looking for a more robust all around sound quality and still not wanting to spend a ton, I'd recommend waiting and saving and be willing to start at the $100 and up range where it seems the quality starts to really increase. Again, not junk - just not great either. Hence the 3 star review. If you have an old Aiwa CX-NMA545 stereo sitting in your garage, basement, attic, or closet that still works - dust it off and save yourself the $50 bucks, cause they'll do better than the CA-SP34BT! ... show more

  • This is my second set of Cyber Acoustics speakers
The media could not be loaded. The subwoofer went out on my old Cyber Acoustics speakers and since they performed so well in the years (yes, years) that I've used them, I chose to replace them with new speakers from Cyber Acoustics. I love the changing colors of the lights on the subwoofer and speakers! It took me a bit to figure out how to get them to cycle through the colors but once I did, they look WAY cool! The sound is as good as my old CAs, too, and that's the reason you buy speakers, right? My husband and I do a weekly music podcast so having good speakers is pretty important to us since we listen to the music we play while we're recording the podcast. I did try to connect them to my PC via bluetooth (I have other bluetooth devices connected so I know it works) but have been unsuccessful so far. Since it took me awhile to figure out how to cycle the colors, it may be something I'm doing wrong but since bluetooth isn't that important to me, I'll keep fooling around with the connection to see if I can get it to work. If I could suggest anything to improve the product, I'd suggest adding more detail to the instructions. I figured out how to cycle the lights but still haven't figured out the bluetooth connection so having more detailed instructions would probably have helped me out a lot! ... show more

  • Good small but powerful system
Over all it works very well. The potentiometer for the bass levels is damaged and cuts out. Most likely happened during manufacturing with the soldering, so QA is not stellar.
