I only started playing guitar about a week ago and I figured I could take the experience away from the TV speakers and to my own personal amp - easily the best choice I made. The amp is easy to use, loud, and sounds phenomenal. Although the way to use the amp is easy, the producers left instructions on how to use the gauges just in-case you feel uncertain about things which was nice. They also left a neat letter about who they are and their best wishes for the user, which I had not seen in forever in many products. After playing with my guitar on this amp for a few days now, I would certainly recommend this to others who are starting. I genuinely have no bad impressions or recommendations because I got exactly what I was looking for.

The amp is sufficient for my kids who are beginner guitar players. The cord that came with it did not work. I was going to send it back but we had another cord, so not worth the trouble, as I would have had to send the amp and cord back for a new set.

Listen - the reviews and complaints levied against this amp are all fair. It’s not very loud, the distortion is a joke, and the hardware is likely subpar. Here’s the thing that it seems we have all forgotten - this amp weighs like, a pound. You can take it anywhere that has a power hookup without hurting yourself. It’s clear channel sounds absolutely fine (kinda hard to mess up) - and while I think it’s an affront to rock music - at least the amp offers a distortion option. This amp is exactly what you’d expect a cheap beginner amp to be, and for the price I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. If you’re just starting out - or have a child or friend who’s beginning their journey I don’t think you should overlook this amp. And if you’re looking for a small amp to just throw around and bring with you when you’re out of the house and going to be playing in a hotel room or a families/friends house and you’re going to try to not bother the entire house - this is still a totally solid pick. Go in knowing what it is and you’ll find you’re having a better experience with it than hoped! Bonus - it has an aux hookup so you can play music from your phone through the amp and pretend you’re playing with your favorite band!
