I’ve owned several Cricut Maker machines for many years now, and I’ve done many types of different projects with them, so I’ve purchased a bunch of different accessories piece by piece to use with my Cricuts. This set comes with many useful accessories that I definitely wish I had when I was first starting to use my machine, as well as accessories that I’ve never tried before, but that I’m sure will be useful in the future. The inclusion of one light grip and one standard grip cutting mat since that covers most typical use cases for the machines. Something worth noting is that the ruler and the paper cutter use centimeters for dimensions, but items using inches or both measurements would be more appropriate for the American market, especially since the Cricut system defaults to using inches. Future versions of this package would be improved by providing instruments that measure in inches. One additional tool that would be great in a package like this is the little silicone bulbs that stick down to your tabletop and make it easy to dispose of little weeding scraps during the process of weeding vinyl.

Very useful set of beginner tools for use with an electronic cutting machine but no directions

This is a very nice starter set for a cutting machine. I took pictures of the box the set came in, which is sturdy and good for storage and the contents. There seems to be everything you could need. The set does not come with descriptions or directions so it took me a while to figure out what the items are and how to use them. For example, the set comes with 3 colored pen holders (see the yellow, red, and white picture) which you can place in the cutting machine pen holders so you can use pens of sizes other than the “official” Cricut pens. This set comes with two sets of pens both colored pens and glitter pens that will be useful. The is an item in the “weeding tools” set that I don’t understand. If you look at my pictures, it is the second item in both the picture and the drawing on the box. All the other items are identified but not that one. At first I thought it might be used to cover the scissors blades but it does not fit. The set comes with a cutting, sticky sheets used as the base to hold papers to be cut, and a light pad. At first I was stymied by the light box because it was so thin I thought the electronics must have been missing. But if you look closely on the edge there is a little socket to plug the light pad into the charger. It is a great beginner’s set and much cheaper than acquiring these items from the Brand Name companies. I highly recommend!

Lovely starter set, so many different tools for so many different types of projects. The light pad is super lightweight and has 3 different brightnesses but FYI the measurements are in CM. There are 2 cutting mats, one light grip and one standard grip, the cutting mats do have inches. While most things are self explanatory, it would have been nice to have some instructions. The fine tip end of the double headed pens could use some improvement, they are not as saturated as the other end. The glitter pens take a bit to dry if you go thick, check the color before you put it on your project because the outside color does not match what actually come out for most of the glitter pens.

Awesome cutter machine tool set

This tool set has an incredible amount of well designed and useful tools for use with a cutter machine. Since buying each tool separately can be quite expensive, it’s amazingly good for someone like me, just starting out, but also very useful for anyone in this craft. It has two good mats, blue for lighter weight materials and green for standard. The brayer roller is good for smoothing down your material on the mat. It also has two scrapers, one with a felt edge, for removing small pieces from the mat after cutting. The ‘basic tool kit’ in a small white box has weeders for vinyl, a spatula for lifting edges and one of my favorites, a small scissors that is surprisingly useful. The light table helps me see details. The cutting board can trim straight lines that make using scraps much easier to position on the mat but can also cut angles from 15 to 90 degrees. I found it helpful for trimming cardstock to fit in a standard envelope before designing the card to put on the cardstock. The glitter pens have a small tip and are quite sparkly. The markers have a flexible brush tip plus a fine line pen in the same color. Plus, there are adapters to use the pens with your cutting machine. Everything I’ve used seems high quality and I’m quite impressed. Highly recommended.

My partner got a cricut but I quickly realized the machine is only half the battle. I was looking for a "one and done" kit so I didn’t have to buy every tool individually, and this set is honestly a lifesaver. The LED Light Pad: This is the MVP of the kit. The light pad makes the cut lines actually visible so you aren’t stabbing blindly at your project. I didn’t think I needed the roller but it’s so much better than using your hands to get the bubbles out of vinyl. It makes sure everything is stuck down perfectly to the mat before you start the cut. The paper cutter is basic, but it’s sharp and straight. It saves me from wasting huge chunks of vinyl when I only need a 4x4 square. The mats have a good "grip" to them. I’ve used them for cardstock and standard permanent vinyl, and they hold up just as well as the name-brand ones. There are a lot of tools in here. Some of the smaller weeding picks look very similar, so it takes a minute to figure out which one you prefer for certain fonts. I’d recommend keeping the little pouch they come in so you don’t lose the tiny scrapers. Overall: If you just bought a cutting machine and feel overwhelmed by the "extras" you need to buy, just get this. It’s significantly cheaper than buying the official branded tools separately, and the quality is basically the same.
